New Grower These seeds... wow

A 5 pack of seeds of high quality genetics SHOULD cost you a minimum of $100. Consider yourselves lucky it isn't more, because can promise you it will be. Cannabis laws haven't always been this 'lax'. Do you have any idea of the amount of work it took to develop this plant into what we see today? Forget quality for a moment, but the autoflowers have been a 20-30 year journey that is only now paying off. All while every government is actively trying to eradicate it from the face of the planet. An ounce costs $200-400 depending one location, and it will rarely be of the homegrown quality if you know what you are doing. A very minor expense.

The tone of what I am about to say will likely come off as offensive, but so be it...

If you buy $300 worth of seeds, and do not "backup" your genetics and create hundreds of seeds by simply letting nature take its course, what is your excuse? Incompetance? Apathy? Whatever the case may be, if you are a helpless consumer, expect to be treated like one. (Read: getting fucked 5 ways to Sunday). That's just business.

Those of us with the foresight to just chuck a little pollen will make only a handful seed purchases in a lifetime. Otherwise you can be a helpless consumer subject to whatever pricing strategy the banks want to enact. And if that is the case, you are only a victim of yourself for allowing yourself for paying exorbitant prices for something you could have made yourself.

Or you can always scrounge up some bag seed.
Or you can grow from clones
The choice is yours

Ps: Have a look at what pharmaceutical grade meds cost without insurance, if you want to see something obscenely priced. And even then, you can easily justify those prices if you e any background in accounting. Look at the books, and glance at their r&d numbers, and failure rates. They are priced appropriately, with current patent laws as they are.

Comparatively, the cost of these meds are almost non existent, even if you buy every single seed you plant.

Well not to name names...but the "big" sellers are not breeding there own gear these days... With the exception of the ones who will show you there breeding...like Greenhouse seeds for example. The others have private breeders, so they buy seeds mark them up and distribute them, the breeders know they got them by the balls, so the jack the price... You pay. In years before this "method" has failed, as breeders/seed producers don't stay loyal to the "company", and they start selling to anyone... And in the end there left out in the cold with no seeds and no supply.

You want to start a seed co. you can get wholesale seeds from GHS for around $1 each for an order of 1000+, change the name mark it up to $4 and claim there yours. Ever wonder how there is so many seed co with names of seeds without a rep or a "face" behind the seeds... Thats because there nothing more than a reseller.

Exactly. The people doing the real work are getting hosed right now,and it will only get worse. It's sad.

Responsible consumerism is the key to the world's problems.
