New Grower Think Different how many in a 5'x5' tent?

That's a lot of money for lights for four plants but if it was me I would run some netting in there and train them to grow closer together you could run more than four plants. With nets I would grow nine plants easily in that area that's if the led's would cover that much area and not being familiar with led lights I don't know the coverage area would be sufficient.

For control over individual plants, it would seem individual buckets would be the way forward.
For a (reasonably) low maintenance idea, i have a friend here (exceptional grower) who has a spare bucket for every one of his buckets. That way when it's time for a res change, he can get one setup in the spare bucket and then just move the pump and plant in there.

(rather than emptying, cleaning, filling with the plant dangling somewhere)

I don't really know DWC very well (only from reading here), but this seems like a sensible option and one that i hadn't thought of! :)

Princess BLUE* is bang on.... individually maintained buckets = best results

rDWC is for really D** W***** C********, individual DWC is hardcore ask Mr Viracocha.

Four buckets should be really easy to manage and you'll be able to grow four massive yielding ladies (subject to providing ideal room & bucket conditions to excellent genetically endowed ladies)...

Why grow more plants when you can have four MissMonsters and a bigbigbig yield...

Cheers lads,

Yes I had thought of the spare bucket for each bucket trick, would make res changes very easy. Anybody know how often res would need to be changed rather than just topped up?
Thanks also namvet I will just go with the 4 plants for my 1st grow, see how it goes, Ive never grown before so having to train them also will just be extra work for me that I may not be able to do effectively. Would 9 plants scrogged yield much more than 4 monsters?
