Greetings All,

I'm venturing into my first auto flower grow and my first post/journal onthis particular forum. (Again, because it's my first auto grow! lol)

So to start I'll give a bit of history about my experiences and my setup forthis particular grow.

I've ran over 20 photoperiod grows. Half in soil, and half in DWC. Each growI grew the same strain and split them between soil and DWC to compare. Forobvious DWC is a powerful method of growing but I dearly love my soil grows andthat earthy rich end result.

So! After ready Seymours journal - Mad props on your TD - DWC/LED grow bythe way, I decided some may enjoy a solid journal on a soil grow.

This will however be quite different.

With my space, I will be running 10 - Think Differents in Soil

My grow room is roughly 10' by 11'. I have 4 - Pioneer Sunleaves 8 BulbT-5's (puts me at a little over 1600 watts)

For this auto flower I have alternated Vitalum grow and bloom bulbs in eachfixture. So, 4 Grow, 4 Bloom in each to increase the overall spectrum.

I'm using Fox Farm Ocean Forest in 3 gallon Super Roots Air Pots

I always run Fox Farm nutes on my soil grows so this will remain the same.Grow Big, Big Bloom, Tiger Bloom and I also use Blackstrap Molasses.

Light regiment will be 20/4

With how hot FFOC stays I have yet to determine when I will break straightwaters and start using nutes. Still putting some debate into this, but mostlikely it will be simply monitoring and deciding as the grow continues.

Looking forward to this new auto grow!

In the upcoming days while seeds germinate I'll post some pics of my setup.

*tip*

Don't have the guts to do a journal? Lol. What do you mean by that..

Sweet setup man. Welcome to the AFN. Did you plan on starting in the Ocean Forest? It's too hot or Auto seedlings. You may or may not know this. Just wanted to put that out there. Good luck man :D

I actually was planning on starting directly in the FFOF. What are your suggestions otherwise? I have always srarted this way as I prefer to avoid stress from transplants.

What is everyones experiences and recommendations for Autos before I roll here?

sounds exciting man, good luck!! will be watching this with interest :toke:

just quickly i want to jump straight in the deep end and go for dwc but was told i should start in soil... what is your advice having had both?

Im def gonna watch this one. I have 3 TD at 8 weeks today. I think they are gonna run longer than 70 days though as I had some lockout issues with my DWC buckets for a few days here and there that def put the brakes on development. Be warned, this plant truly is a monster, it grows huge, I had major issues with mine as there wasnt enough floorspace so they started stretching to compete for the light and have ended up a totally different shape to the giant beach ball look most TD seem to grow into. Sounds like your room is huge though and your penetration from those 8 tube fixtures should be great. All the best mate!

I start of in ffof and I have not had any problems. Sounds like you have a lot of experience using it so you already know not to give any nutes for a couple weeks. I use rapid rooters and then go straight to the final pot of ffof. Good luck dude sounds like you have a nice setup.
