Day 25 of my first indoor grow. My think different is the big guy in the lot, and it looks great, but the canopy seems to crowd the growth that is going to bud later. should I be trimming? try to post what I mean but my camera sucks.

Try it mate, you can only learn from experiance.

I prob wouldnt id just let it go.

They are looking fine so I wouldn't trim them. They are sending up the side branches so I would leave them alone. You can remove some leaves later that might be Hiding the growing tips of the branches from recieving light. Later if some leaves are covering the flower buds you can either tuck them under or remove them so the light reaches the buds.:smokebuds:

No, the thing is about Auto's is, everything you do will slow them down or stunt their growth when it comes to high stress, cutting, transplanting, etc. In this particular case, I highly recommend doing some LST and tying down some of the branches to expose some of the growth you wish to be exposed, later on, once they have sexed and started to bud, you can then trim the lower junk a bit, just don't go nuts and try to trim over several days to reduce shock.

** and or what namvet said lol.. tucking as well is a great LST technique. Tuck first, tie if they won't stay tucked. Just be gentle.

thanks nam, I actually just kinda thought about the fact that i could just move them aside and let the new growth through. Sometimes i treat my plants a little too cautiously. Thanks

**did a minute of tucking and it looks much nicer as far as light on growth.

Definitely do not trim an autoflower as it's still stretching.. you'll do more harm than good.. Nam's advice is the best, leaf tucking is superior.. it's no stress and gets the same results.. a little tedious at times, but well worth it in the end.
