New Grower Thinking Different Ganjageezas 1st auto grow

She is a beauty! Very lovely lady, good job!

Thx dude, not sure how long she's got left now, I don't think she'll be a hundred dayer, I could be wrong, but I'm pretty happy with the way she's gone so far, until the last few days where the top leaves are starting to yellow at the edges and curl up that is.

I have just recently started growing and trying with different nutes as well. If I were you I would do a couple gallon fresh ph stable cleanse and then check the ph of the runoff. With the yellowing of the top leaves and with them curling to the extent that they are I would think the light could be an issue. Many say that a plant get too much light but I beg to differ. Even if it isn't too hot inside of that small of a grow area I would raise the lights more. With a single plant in the tent it doesn't consume nearly quite as much as a regular plant (remember it is an autoflower and genetically is built to grow in all light conditions)

My Flickr has unfrozen so here's what I'm on about

I hope it's just a case of light burn, I've moved the light up and given her a flush so I'll wait and see before giving her anymore feeds just in case it's a nute lock out or build up of salts that's the problem instead, though by the fact some lower leaves are showing the same probably rules out the light scorching and points more towards a potassium deficiency.

I think because I'd read a few grow reports on TD and seen a few people say she's a hungry beast, that i was a bit over enthusiastic with her feeds, with coco you're only supposed to use half strength nutes, unless using coco specific ones, some times I was giving her a double dose of or more, so it was stronger than a full dose.

She seemed to love it at first but now I think she's locked out from over feeding and isn't taking up enough potassium due to that or is being affected by a salts build up.

Anyone with a better knowledge of these things feel free to impart the wisdom

After flushing the coco and feeding with plain pH'd water, see how your plant reacts over the next couple days. The lower leaves are always a problem it seems like. As much time as I have spent with my plants I notice some of the lower leaves yellowing as the plant is using the natural nutrients within to feed the beast. Remember that the old leaves will not be fixed but rather will die off over time. Check the new growth of the plant and if all looks healthy then you are off to a good start.

Yeh that's what I was thinking man, give her a couple days of ph'd water see how it affects her, if she gets worse I'll know it was a deficiency, if she perks up a bit then I'll know it was salts build up or lock out, hopefully she shows signs of improvement wouldn't want to stunt her anymore than she possibly already has been from this.

Since I'm at around the 50 day mark I've just sown 2 more seeds hopefully these 2 don't hit their stretch before I harvest the first cuz if this one's anything to go by I won't have enough room in my tent lol.

Anyone got a better idea what deficiency, if that's what's wrong with her, that she might be suffering from or any advice or comments on the grow in general would be appreciated.

Well the yellowing leaves spread further down the plant but the new growths fine so I've gone back to feeding her but easing her in by giving her half strength and building up gradually, I'm not too concerned about the leaves yellowing cuz that's not what I'll be smoking, the buds seem to be frosting and firming up nicely that's all that matters in the end.

I've tied down her main stem at a 90° angle to add a bit of uniformity and so the buds lower down get more light, it's allowed me to lower my light too so they'll appreciate that.

I've also snapped a lower branch as an experiment, Dr Frankenstein aka Hazy has shown how hardy autos can be, so I wanted to see how snapping one this late in the grow will affect or hopefully boost her.
