New Grower Thinking Different Ganjageezas 1st auto grow

Yeah dude ph is roughly 6 going in and 6.5 run off, that's why I didn't really think lockout and thought it was more like a deficiency.

Just a quick update, it wasn't a nute problem at all, my problem was that I have no intake or exhaust fan in my tent only circulating one's, she wasn't getting enough cool fresh air to her so the leaves were crisping due to the heat building up, I thought living in the UK I'd get by without one as we barely get a week of summer let alone a bloody heat wave like we're going through currently. Great weather though shame I can't make use of all this Sun, no chance of a garden grow round my way that's for sure.

I'm about to start my 1st grow and also going with TD in coco so I'm all subscribed up! Quick question, did you mix the coco with anything or just use it as it is?

I bought 10 litre bag of canna coco which comes ready to use, so no pre washing like the bricks, I planted the seeds and just used ph'd tap water to moisten it, best not to use any nutes for seedlings.

Nice save.

Hopefully it's not affected her too badly she's crispy at the edges that's for sure but she's still producing new leaves and the buds are still growing, firming up and getting nice'n'crystaly which is the main thing.

It happens. I had an lr2 get way way bigger than anticipated and she grew up into the light- roasted the top 1.5 inches of main cola- and a bunch of leaves.

I still got 3 zips off her almost. It happened far later in the game though- and she never really put on the resin and crystals like she should have. You didn get as bad- and it's early yet (sort of) so I doubt the smoke will be affected as dramatically as it was in my case. Finding and elimInting sources of stress will help you out far more than an intense feed schedule in most situations- or at least that's been the case for me with autos.

Keep it up.

thanks mr gg, you've solved my problem for me / confirmed my suspicions. I've had no in or outtake, and the tent is in a cupboard. The issues I have been having look the same as yours, could be mistaken for light burn.

I was thinking the same as you, bah it doesn't get that hot here / we'd be so lucky, it'll be fine. Yeah its been hot enough recently, with the added effect of an insulating tent with CFL's warming it up. Best be ordering an exhaust fan soon then :)

I guess its probably something to do with the high heat and fairly arid air, means it has difficulty sucking water to the tips of leaves and top of the plant quickly enough, which explains why it effects the higher up leaves / tips first. Out of curiosity was she drinking a lot of water at the time?

Also don't forget - heat rises. And the major heat source is up high as well. In m old cabinet I had about 8 degree difference between the tops I my plants and the soil level- no big deal- everything was in the right temperature zone- but I also had good ventilation- without any ventilation...

Another thing to consider- if your hot exhaust is just vacating into a closet or the like- soon your intake will be sucking 80-90 degree - the same as your exhaust is pumping out. Keeping ambient temps down is just as critical as keeping interior temps down- as the two Are directly related to each other- unless you vent to the outdoors- or into a different room than what you draw from.

Keep it up.
