Yeah i ran into prolly the same forum before coming here, so i was a little hesitant to start posting.. but musturd gave me the shove i needed to come out of the woodwork.

I will be starting my very first auto grow soon, and i have no interest in looking anywhere else for help then right here at AFN.
They laughed at me when i said we used milk for cal issues, and made the comment " are you one of those hippies?"
as a matter of fact, i said that i ran away from home in 1976, and the only people that accepted me was a commune of hippies, where i had 30+ uncles and aunts that raised me as there own and taught me there ways, so yeah i guess i am! so i was branded a burnt out hippie and made to feel inferior.

Wow iv just been and read the whole thread over there :no: you wouldn't ever see a thread like that here at AFN.. I now see why AFN has become the home of LED growers as well as autos with the caveman views out there.
I just don't get some people. It doesn't matter to me what you use, we're all here to grow better cannabis. I've had so many people tell me what to do, what not to do, & I appreciate advice from those more knowledgeable than me, but I don't like it when people tell you that you have to do things a certain way. There is more than one way to do anything. And someone once told me I wouldn't be able to grow decent bud indoor in the desert. "Dude, outdoor Cali(fornia) bud is the best, anything else is just shwag." Ok man, I'm not arguing, but I haven't had to pay for my own smoke for almost 3 years now, and i find it more than acceptable. It might not be the very best, but I had a friend visit from LA and he said my best stuff was about as good as what he could get from the dispenseries, at least potency wise. My stuff was just a bit drier due to desert climate.
But anyway, I agree, big thanks AFN for being a really cool place without judgement or condescension! So far I've only felt good positive vibes here. I hope I can help spread that around!
p.s. - also I would get laughed at for talking about autos. "They're nothing but toys." Someone once said. Ok, that's your opinion, but why put someone down just because you don't like it? I don't criticize my neighbors for growing vegetables that I don't like. To each, their own. ,

I am Also disaponted from the LEDs , I try them one time butt I did not work out for me like my hps & mh maybe I am to rusted at those lights.
Butt hey I judge nobody growing with LEDs, if I see the reports I makes me sometimes speechless ;-)
