I've a lot of comfrey in the yard so I figured to try me some Comfrey Manure Tea.
I have some that has been brewingsteepingstinking for about 45 days now. Put it together based on the article here.

Now, the article says it will stink. It does.
I box it every other day and the best way I can describe the smell is by using a favorite from my granddad.

That stuff smells bad enough to gag a maggot on a puke wagon!

So then.

Is there anyone here that has used this before? Comments on dilution ratios or amount to actually use at a go are welcomed!!
S'posed to be just the ticket for when the plants be in bloom. Article sez dilute it 50/50 or even 10 to 1 as "side dressing".

Thoughts?

well,Ive only used it a few times but know a guy who makes it,and after reading that article, imo,I woud say the two are slightly different in how they are prepared.. but either way,lif its high in N and varying Phos and other simple compounds,it really depends on your soil as to how much or how diluted to feed. but on average i would say an ounce per 3 -4litres is a good place to start with a well to do soil. teas Id add maybe two to three ounces to 4-5 gallons.again to start and see how things react.should be fine if its a weaker soil and/or buffers well. or is lacking especially, other than WAY overfeeding ,i imagine it could run a lil hot(depending of course) if overfed with a lightly buffered soil. but yeah , Id use 1 ounce per gallon roughyl or 1.5 TBS per 2 -2.5 litres or there abouts. should do fine if the soil is done decently.i cant see any issues really arising if most simple balances are maintained in the soil and decent water. happy growing :D

I follow yer thoughts on that EoF although I'm doubting I'll be using it on any of my plants.
I strained out the large bits of comfrey that remained, weren't much by the way, but the smell got nothin' on the flies.

While I was straining the shtuff I'd walk away to dump stuff or rinse screens or what have ya, every time I came back to the buckets anything and everything remotely associated with the "manure" tea was black and gold from all the flies covering all.

All things equal my soil is doing well actually. This was intended to be used for bloom but what with the gawdawfulstankandflies Im'a gonna use a bit on tomatoes and corn and just water the compost pile with rest.

And run.

So's the flies don't carry me off!
