Grow Mediums tied downs with autopots

Got my new 4pot kit today. I was surprised to see there are no holes around the rim of the pot to tie down.

The only thing I can come up with is to drill some holes around the rim before I use them. Is that what people are doing?

Was thinking of these spring clips spaced around the rim of the pots. Then you could tie direct to them without having to drill into the pots.
