Wassup guys I'm heading to Texas hydroponics and they have fox farm tiger bloom and one called fox farm grow bloom? Anyone know the difference

Or any suggestions on nutes that are good with fox farm soil would help..thanks guys:D

Big Bloom = General plant food, not meant to promote anything but meant to feed everything. It's bat and worm poop tbh. You're supposed to use it every feed.. FoxFarm told me I could pour a whole bottle on the plant and it wouldn't cause any problems but I wouldn't see a benefit over using the recommended dosage. (ORGANIC, but not OMRI)

Grow Big = Vegetative growth, comes in soil and hydroponic formulas, this stuff runs hot and drops pH a wee bit, use it at 1/4 recommended dosage and see how the plants react before upping it. (SYNTHETIC)

Tiger Bloom = Flowering growth, bud formations, PK solution so to speak.. this stuff runs SUPER hot and drops pH A LOT (2 tsp used to bring my 7.2 tap to 5.4) use it at 1/8 to 1/4 recommended dosage and see how the plants react before upping it, always monitor pH but especially monitor with this stuff. It's potent. (SYNTHETIC)

EDIT: Check out the General Organics line, I've heard nothing but good things about them and they're supposed to be the most affordable, easiest to use organic nutrient out (that could just be a sales pitch, but they do look mighty nice from the journals I've seen)

Hey man I got grow big and tiger bloom..

Will I be ok without the big bloom? I couldnt afford all 3 so I had to get 2 for now..

Should I have just gotten the big bloom?

I want to feed bloom nutes today but like I said can I just use tiger bloom or is having both essential??

No, having both is not essential. Big Bloom is like Liquid Karma from Botanicare. It's just a manufactured compost tea that's good for the plants. I honestly don't think you'll lose much if anything not using Big Bloom. Your plants look great so far in your journal, while big bloom wouldn't do any harm in the future (all nutrient lines recommend you use every additive they make) it won't hurt to run without it for now. Be very careful with the Tiger Bloom brother, that stuff runs so hot.. make sure you check the pH after mixing it in too.. it's insane how concentrated that stuff is. It does make some beautiful plants though. My very first grow was FFOF/LW w/ all three FF nutes. I frequently ran out of Big Bloom (there's points the feeding schedule calls for 3 tablespoons per watering ) and I had no real issues other than my pH lockouts.

What do u think about giving veg nutes right now at day 33??

Everyone on here says wait till week 6 or 7 to use bloom nutes but the bloom nutes say on the bottle "use at first sight of flowering", and mine show the first signs of flowering around week 4 so that kind of confuses me..

And are u suppose to flush between switching from veg and flower nutes?

I ask because if I give them veg nutes today then only about a week from now they will be 6 weeks and ready for bloom..thanks for your help :smokebuds:

Autos are not like photos. They continue vertical growth while preflowering. If you switch too early then vertical growth will stop and you will not be getting the full potential from your plant. Wait until vertical growth stops then switch to flowering nutes.
I always water with plain water every other watering to avoid salt buildup

The question really is, are your plants still growing vertically? The reason folks say to feed veg nutes until Week 6 - 7 is because typically the plant continues to grow vertically until then - if it's growing vertically it's creating new foliage and building stems so vegetative nutrients are good to keep going at that point.

So if your plant is still growing taller, keep feeding veg nutes, then as it starts to slow down or stop, switch to bloom nutes (very little, i can't preach this enough.. I've burned a plant or two.. or more.. with tiger bloom).

Don't forget FoxFarms schedule also includes the 12/12 light switch and is tailored to photosensitive plants. They say to switch to bloom nutes at the first sign of flowering because it'll force the plant to start throwing bud sites and push it into the flowering stage.

If you do this with autoflowers you're sacrificing vertical growth as once that switch is flipped in the plant, it focuses it's energy on blooming as opposed to vegetative growth.

As far as flushing between the switch, I do, but I run Hempy so I "flush" once a week - when I ran soil I did not and do not advise it. If you're concerned, plain pH'd watering between the switch of nutrients would suffice - but remember, you're feeding the plant at a critical time in it's life so depriving it of nutrients isn't a good idea. Also, flushing does cause the plant stress - so why stress the plant when there's no need.

EDIT: Didn't see evol's reply before I posted mine, sorry for doubling up on the information.

I did find this to add though;
