New Grower To strip or not to strip?

dislike that article and have argued with the writer/grower when it was done in supposidly real time in forums , i dont believe the dates/times given or any of what he says , not to mention the fact that he is scrogging (taking extra time and training) as well as and not just defoliating

not trying to step on ur toes nam , i just feel if a link is going to be posted that only makes wonderful claims (leading people to beleive this method is gods gift to growing) then someone needs to mention their experiences with defoliating

i defoliated my plants for 20 years , that was beginning almost 40 years ago , one day i was told it was a huge mistake and i shouldnt be doing it , when i stopped i got massive yeild increase , the buds swelled up so much at the end i was shocked

IMO these people who are "for" defoliating take the plants early (before the final growth/flowering push) and miss that late flowering boom the buds do when sucking the leaves dry

the article also doesnt explain how many many people came to find out their plants needed an extra 2 weeks flowering time even taken before that final boom in g\bud growth (on average) as well as extra veg time to recover and be trained

anyway , what works for one person doesnt always work for another , as long as we all find what works for us then we can be happy

peace

Ya. Dont do it. The plants need those stored nuts. Now if you have a plant with a lot of fan leaves yes you can thin them so you will get better light penetration. But thin and strip are 2 different things. A lot of my I ndicas I thin but only enough to help with light. Those leaves have the perfect food for your plants and the last 2 weeks it can use it as it needs it. Good Luck.

Mm this thing is ripping me apart the more I read about it the less I know:shrug:
