I have been using tomato cages in my 3 gallon pots for years now. Very helpful to support big flowers and can be used for LST.

Can that be used for 1g? Or is 3 the minimum?

I should mention, I only do this with about 2/3 of my plants---having a few without the cages makes it easier to get in to water.
