What to do about too much light in tent. I have one glueberry in a 3x3x6 tent Day 70 from seed, Mars Hydro II 700.My light is a high as it can possibly go. I had a second plant in the tent that was exhibiting the same leaf symptoms and I moved it outside and the leaf issue cleared up. I do not want to put this plant outside simply because I want to make a comparison between outdoor and indoor grown. Right now the light is 24 inches above canopy and on 18/6. Can I cut back to say 12/12 and possibly help the problem ? Any help appreciated.

well, imho, u can never have such a thing as too much light
too much heat from the light tho can be a prob...what are ur tempz/rh like-? 24" should be fine & i wouldn't switch to 12/12...but again, that'z jus me own 2 ctz

If too much light intensity is actually your problem, just stretch a screen, not fully-transparent plastic sheet, or other type of partial shade/filter between the light and plants.

A lot of growers using LED have been experimenting with reducing hours and having very good luck. I just ran a Forgotten Cookies under QBs in a 16/8 schedule and averaged 6 plus ounces of hard mugs per plant. Some members believe that slot of the plant issues many have could be from to much light. There is certain a DLI that a plant needs and once it receives that the extra light is just wasted. Of course just from the two answers you have received you can tell that it’s something not everyone understands or believes.
You could begin reducing an hour for a few days and see how you like it. I currently run 16/8 and have had no loss of growth or final weight.

Get some garden twine tie then around the branches and pull them down you should get a good couple of inch more room.

Yes, cutting hours of light exposure will fix too much cumulative/over-time light exposure. More distance, a screen, dimmer (only work with some lights), etc. can fix too high intensity, which is a somewhat different problem.

Also a wonderful possibility. We have a wonderful site where viewers can get lots of feedback and make decisions in their own. Screens are great for green houses and raising lights are great for wasting electricity.
As a grower take the time to learn as much as you can to not only make yourself a great grower but one that can do so efficiently. Raising the lights like you have done just reduces the photons reaching the plant but the wattage you use stays the same. So to waste all the wattage/ photons doesn’t make sense to me.
So for fun.
How many hours is the plant outside getting? I’m guessing it’s not getting 18 hrs if direct light?
But any way, I’ll step aside now. I see you are getting some comments from others. I’m here to help, not interested in playing games arguing. My best advice would be to take things slow and take what you hear and make decisions on your own. Don’t jump at every idea that gets thrown at you. A lot of gunslingers lately

While light could be the issue, there are more changes than just that moving from a tent to outside. To get to the issue, many more variables are needed. Temps and rH indoor? Outdoor? Wind? My outdoor ladies get blown here. Thus transpire more, leading to some leaf tacoing etc.

Any pics of the problem? Without seeing what is actually going on, everything is all entirely speculation. You can cut back on the hours of light...but your yield will suffer because of it. I don't think that light is too big for that tent..I used to have a mars 2 1200 in a 4x4 and grew 24/0 for two years with no problems. Anything is possible, that is why pics will help. Have a good one
