Lighting TOPled The Manual.

I just ordered another 300w old model and for those who didn't know, topled has changed their name and they have a new url for their site.

http://www.mars-hydro.com/

I added sara on skype after posting in topleds thread on another forum and I got free yoyo hanger with my order. She has been giving out some for free to people who ask so I said why not? lol. They are so nice, I have no problem pointing people in their direction.

Apparently they are opening up a service center in california too. So they will be able to fix lights that malfunction.

100$ + free shipping + free yoyo

I'm good.

Yeah, Sara is the nicest woman! Thanks for the heads up on the name change because I wasn't aware of it. 300 more watts??!! Oh, snap!! LOL!

Both sites appear to currently be up...I actually steered my neighbor buddy her way and he said the same thing...super nice.

Yea sara said they will keep the topled site up as well. I still cannot believe that light is only 100$. Such an amazing deal. At that price why even bother with a cfl. Old model 300w is actually one of their best lights too. I've read a handful of posts from people who've used both and prefer the old model over the reflector series.

I didn't even realize how bad my light situation really was until I did the math today. According to some info I read. Leds should have a min of 35 watts per square foot. With hps being 50 and cfl 65. Thats for flowering. I'm currently at 20w per square foot. Little better if I turn on a cfl or two. Another led will put me at 40 and I can say screw the cfls. ;D

I just ordered (2) 300 watt original marshydro panels. Will I need to add some uvb light to my closet?
uvb is only beneficial during the last weeks of flowering and it is very harmful to your eyes you only want to use a small amount. a 13 watt reptile light should be enough to enhance resin production but turn it off when you are in your grow room to protect your eyes

Bored at work

Does anyone think something like this would help better direct led lights or is it unnecessary because the lights are already at 90 and 120 degrees?

I don't think it's necessary. I'd add something reflective near the bottoms of the plants and on your walls. The LED Light is pretty direct and you want the light to spread out to cover as much of your plant as possible.:peace:

Hey guys, I have the reflecor 3w x 144. Is this basically 3 of the small lights put together? Sitting here outa smoke and trying to redesign some stuff cause im moveing in a few months so I gotta make my grow portable. Is there any reason why I cant take the panels apart and use them individually? Anyone ever done this?

These lights are hard to beat for the price! I have a pair of them and I'm very pleased with them! I might pickup the 450 watt Reflector model after Christmas to expand my growroom.
