Lighting TOPled The Manual.

Dr. You think a 300w Unit is Proper Enought to catch Max Production in my 2x2 tent ?

would it hurt to add some extra cfl bulbs in there, right up next to the led so the plants dont bend towards the cfl's. ? im still a newb on lights used mostly hps units 600w, but i like how the led spectrum can be tailored to each users pref.
im in the process of ordering an appollo 6 with two switches for diff light patterns, i havent made up my mind on spectrum yet. ive been checking out everyone elses spectrum choices to see what works with what. thanks guys for the help. keep it green

If you mean 300 actual watts, or a Mars 700, then yes. 300 watts in a 2x2' tent would yield 75 watts per square foot which is above the usual recommended amounts I've seen (~50-60 watts per sq ft). So you'll definitely have more than enough lighting in that space.

Just be sure you have adequate height to work with. I am getting my best results by actually following the manufacturer's instructions for light distance.

I'm having trouble understanding your question. It never hurts to add CFL lights, assuming the temperature can be dealt with. But as far as bending and stretching go, it depends on your light and space. If your plants are placed within the recommended footprint of the light, they shouldn't have to bend. They may slightly "aim" towards the the light if they are a little further off center from the light, but that's usually just fine. If it bugged you, you could try some CFLs or rotate your plants once in a while.

I've never had the issue in my tent. So far they are growing pretty symmetrically and straight up.

Hope that helps

Kay nah i meant the 300w panel draw was round 170-200 watts. but im anyways not using the whole tent max 2 Ladys in there. just want the proper power for thoose 2 girls. im aiming on a big panel for my homebox xl but that will be when i have selected my keeper mommys and go on with clone runs. small tent then gets 2 autos each run.

I found that when plants first go into the flower room for the stretch period (first 2 weeks) have the lights higher , if the lights are to low the plants will stay a lot shorter, also take the glass panels out of the lights , give better penetration.

one led grow light maker ads fluorescent uv tubes to their light for use during the final weeks of flowering to increase resin production a SMALL reptile light from the pet store may help but too much UV can hurt you and your plants.a 13 watt cfl reptile light should be plenty for a 2*2 flowering area.this works with photos but I do not know if it will work with autos.I have experiance with photos but am just starting my first auto grow

Interesting. I have a Mars II 700W (300W draw) in a small tent. My first and only grow produced light fluff buds but the buds are curing and are still sticky. I am very satisfied with the Mars II and couldn't find a better value Thanks for sharing all the info.

Got a lil question. How long did it take from order payed to recieve the Panel? I mean on their site the claim shipping within 24 hrs after payment arries and my order is stil on pending since few days... :( I ordered over there cause i needed the panel fast and was sticking to their 24 hrs shipping. would be good to know how long it took to get the panel(europe only).

I dunno man, they shipped mine quick. I got in round 8 days. If you email them they get back to ya pretty fast. I had some lights out in one of my panels but they took care of me.
