New Grower Total Noob Needing Help Before Starting Please?

Welcome to the happy place

well it seems like you are looking at lights like I am using and as a newb myself I will tell what I experienced if it might help. I discovered that the lights do not give me as much coverage area as I would like, but it seems to do well, I also just change to the 2700k bulb when time to bloom. Once the plant started getting wider and bigger (I do not know how to tie them up or trim them as they grow yet) SOooo I just wish they had more coverage area. I also rigged up some boards and put 6 outlets on each board for side lighting, and Like scatterbrayne said now I just have more to take care of and move around and just overall a little clutterly (is that a word ?) It all still works well so I am just saying for planning considerations. I also am using my walk-in closet to hide my tent. I did not think about the bug man coming to spray (he only comes twice a year) but I had it in a spare bedroom cuz I didn't think anyone ever comes to my house so remember the bug man LOL. But as far as venting I just removed my duct and vent cover from the ceiling, I ran the dryer hose from the carbon filter in the tent right out the top of the tent through the hole were the vent was and I put my in-line fan up in the attic. I only grow one plant at a time so far so the smell in the attic is hardly noticeable. I have some pics in my grows if you wanted to check it out. Good Luck, Good Grow Karma, and wwelcome again. :peace:

Late: Thank you for the links! I plan to get 2700k for flowering. 2 125W plus supplemental. Why do you think T5 would be better? I can get to a whole foods. Can't beat a 6$ PH kit.

The T5 is just better, don't know why. More expensive, tho.
The Flourowing does work, but with just 2 for that space get the
really good reflective liner. When you get the 2700K bulb, get the 250
watts. That would give you 500. The rule of thumb is 50 watts/sq ft.
With 16 sq ft that gives you 31 watts/sq ft. Which is enough. But half that
would limit the growth.
