Hello all. I'm new to the forum and growing. Just started my first grow. One auto sweet tooth, one la diva auto, and one auto critical jack. They sprouted two days ago under fluorescents. My question is can I transplant them without shock if the roots aren't disturbed? I pulled a real stupid move and bought organic choice garden soil that is not for pots. Just simply didn't notice until it was too late. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Hmmm im sure someone would know better than me but will it make much difference being soil not meant for pots? Prehaps let the roots develop and just pot up into proper soil as you would do anyway :/ end of the day aim of any living thing is to live n why not ideal alot of things are manageable

How big are the pots they are in. I'd say let them go till at least 2 or 3 sets of leaves. Transplanting a new sprout in to totaly new soil would be more luck than skill.

Well I transplanted them Tuesday night. They didn't seem to do much yesterday, but this morning they all the start of a second set of leaves. Hopefully it didn't affect them too bad.

soil not meant for pots usually have poor drainage they hold too much water. they usually dont have ne perlite, humus, etc... not much aggregate in the way to keep the medium from compacting is all. u can always change this though, u just have to add what u feel is missing.

Sounds like it went well, if they had a problem they would have stalled out for longer. :)

Thanks Sticky I was curious on that one too.
