New Grower Trapper's Scrimmage Grow (Semi-Micro)

 Outstanding Trap, I'm not sure your prediction about coming in under me is a sure thing. You must be a proud papa!!

Lovely colours 50 :)

Lots of lovely bud sites too.

All the best pal,

steely

Some Pics for Day 61

Here's the top of Pawn #1 sulking in the corner.....

Long Shot

:)

I hope they swell up a bunch while I'm gone...it will be nerve-wracking to leave them for the entire flush, but if all goes well
it will be cool to see 2 weeks worth of difference.:)

It will be cool indeed! Looking great man

Trapper, you do have an exhaust in there? I am wondering how much the CO2 does when it gets taken out anyway...

Nope...no exhaust, just a 6" clip fan drawing air in from above it through the upper shelf portal. That's one of the reasons I got two bags. I knew the plants would be producing a lot of oxygen that wasn't going anywhere and using CO2 faster than it could get replaced. The CO2 that is being supplemented from the upper shelf is being drawn into the cab and circulated by the fan, the other bag, hanging from the curtain rod is dropping directly on the Pawn but being circulated by the fan as well. It's moving around in there quite a bit before it slowly escapes via it's one route (to escape) at the junction of the floor of the cab with the sliding closet door.

Dam man, that's some good looking bud you got there. Can't wait to see this one finished!

Thanks!

You know guys, I was actually a little underwhelmed by the bud sizes themselves and thought they would fill out and fill in the nodal gaps more...but there are a couple things that I have to remember...I am running 1 90W LED on a very tall plant. The Queen has (I recounted and was way off at 70) over 100 bud sites that are all demanding attention, water and nutrients. I can't possibly expect large colas with all that going on. What I DO like about her is the totally crazy, multi-top mini-bud canopy she has going on from the fimming I gave her and that just by those buds and the sheer number of bud sites...I'll definitely come in over what I was shooting for (2 zips and a 1/8 a piece for the Pawns was the original goal, IIRC) With one Pawn long dead, that puts the goal at 2.125oz. And I think I'll get above that. There are sub-gram popcorn buds for sure, but a large majority of the secondaries are definitely gram+ buds (dried) So, I'm already content with the outcome with a little under 3 weeks to go. I've seen a few Dark Devil grows with stacks of glorified popcorn buds (as opposed to traditional spear or cola buds) and I imagine it's the same phenotype I'm experiencing. Perfectly good first grow so far with twice as much gained in knowledge....and they are sticky, sticky, Icky :)

I think she looks great man! There's a "size matters" joke in here somewhere, but seriously for 90 watts she looks fantastic. You might try giving her some more bloom nutes.. I know it's late in the grow but might help fatten them up a little. I checked your feed schedule, and yeah the Cha Ching is really strong but it's more for like "extra resin and oil" or something, it's not a "true" bloom nutrient if that makes sense. It will drop ph fast, as you noticed. I would increase the Tiger and drop the Cha Ching if I were you. I've used only Tiger Bloom for flowering before I bought the solubles, and it's awesome on it's own. I didn't notice a huge increase in bud size with the solubles, just more resin, smell, and flavor. As always, something to think about my friend!

Looking good Trapper, they are filling in nicely. We went away for three days once and the change was amazing, you will notice a substantial difference upon your return. The leaves will look poor but the buds will look grand.
We have just started to try some fairly well cured DD and the smoke is dynamite, but only just starting to taste good now. It didnt taste to good until about 3 weeks after harvest. The smell in your cab when you return will be like coming home after a long absence. It will be right at its peak.

The number of buds on that plant is quite astonishing for 90watts. By my calculations(using my 600 watt actual) you need to yeild 1.12oz to equal us watt for watt. I think you will surpass that with ease and then some :). When you get some "real light" in there the difference will be vast.
Cheers and have a good one.

Yeah, I was looking at that in it's description online and seeing that the feed schedule calls for both, I have been getting a little braver with the tiger bloom, I agree with you. :)

Thanks, GZ

That's what I'm really hoping for, Kyliekay...leaves being sucked dry and swelled up buds...also very nice to hear how happy you are with the smoke...I hear that a lot and it makes me very excited to get her wrapped up:)

Those numbers/calculations sound great to me:) The second grow is going to have almost exactly 4X the amount of light...at 360W-370W actual, combined amongst the 3 lights. :)
