First off.....Don't Buy the 125th Anniversary 1 Gallon Ball Jar off Amazon...THE LID IS JUNK! Doesn't seal at all and the inner plastic gasket is useless.
Curing:
I opened the big box today and was getting readings of 54% RH and 56% RH on the hygrometers....I had read that getting too dry would lead to a bad/impossible cure so I got a little worried.
I went to the grocery store at bought some real Ball Jars for preserving food (Cool Vintage green ones
) I had bought a 12pack of the 8g Boveda 62's So I jarred up the buds with
3 Bovedas per jar and about 3/4 of the way full on 4 jars. After I put the hygrometers in two of the jars (only have the 2 mini's) the readings were 74% and 76% but I don't feel like
going back to the box with everything...With 24g of Boveda in each jar, I don't feel particularly worried about overtaxing them so I'm just going to burp a little more frequently so the
packs can offload some moisture more often. Ambient RH around here is 24%-30% so I doubt I'll be running into any mold issues if I burp frequently.
I'm at 104g on the overall weight so I imagine with 10-12 points to drop yet, I'll finish out pretty much where I figured I would....around 2.9oz. which is fantastic!
