You know, people have all different kinds of opinions on when to harvest, and although there is a general consensus that the trichromes are a much better indicator than pistils, there are a huge variety of opinions about what percentage of the trichs should be what color for optimal ripeness. Partly this is due to the fact that everyone has their own preference when is comes to the different qualities different color trichromes bring to the stoniness of the herb, mostly clear and cloudy, you'll have more of an "up" high, mostly amber, it will possess more of a "couch lock" stone. I really think though, far more than the aspects of the high, what drives many to let their trichs go 60%-75% amber, is that they want to pack as much weight on the buds as possible, and while that's perfectly understandable, I personally like an up high, so I won't let my trichs get more than 50% amber, and will try to keep it around a third amber. a third cloudy and a third clear. Since you have trichs at all stages of development (a very common thing, clear up to finish time, and especially on autos from what I hear) and about half seem amber, it passes the scope test. I would say if it looks like the buds have filled out nicely, definitely flush time, you'll get a few more amber trichs in the week it'll take to flush, so even if you want more than half amber, you should be good to go. If you have a camera, pics would be helpful, even if your camera won't show the trichs, it should show the fattening of the calyxes and the ripening stage of the buds. But from what you're saying, I would put harvest on your calendar a week from today! stylez rasta smoke
