Hi Folks

I am hoping I can get some guidance for my Candy Cane. All of her pistels are brown, no whites left. Her trichomes are cloudy, but her leaves are still very green. Some of her fan leaves have yellowed and fell off and some are still yellowing, but not even close to what I would think would be time to harvest. As I mentioned though, the trichs are cloudy. I think I even saw an amber one lurking around. I am using a 420 magnifier, cutting off a small bud and sugar leaves to check. I do like the idea of a loupe, however, and will go see my friends at the plant store to get one. In the mean time... what would your opinions be on when to harvest this girl?

Thanks all!

GIYG

looks like she fox tailed quite a bit. maybe someone else could help with when to harvest. how much perlite u got in ur soil? looks a little compact. anyways good luck GIYG

if your trich are pretty much all cloudy,I personally would want a lil more amber on them so I would give them a small molasses or similar and then after about a week Id start my rinse cycle.but in all reality you could take her now.but atleast start your rinse.but if your looking for more of a heavier stone, then hold off.

looks like a slight phosphorous deficiency if the top buds have turned perhaps you could take those and give the lower buds a little more time.

Hey buddy! Welcome to the party haha. The buds look great, but she looks really thirsty and hungry! Can't let em starve late in flower when it's putting energy into bud mass :) It's about time to clean up those dead leaves too, it was good to leave them on as long as possible, because late in flower the plant pulls nutrition out of the leaves to make fatter buds hehe :) but after they're turning brown is time to pluck them.

As for the loupe, I gotta strongly recommend it, I've stopped smushing buds in the microscope lol. I got a 40x or 60x led lighted one on ebay for cheap. Will see if I can find a link to one like it.

I would wait till there is 10% amber then flush with ph water at 6.5 the when they are 30% amber cut it down but i like my weed strong if you dont like it strong start your flush now hope it helps.

Thanks so much for the link. That looks great!

Thanks or all your responses. I've actually been flushing for the last two weeks. No she doesn't have any pearl lite. I grew her in Bio Terra only.... but that is too rich on its own. I started her sister at the same time and transplanted her into Proterra with pearlite, and the difference is huge. I'll post a photo of sister, who is much taller, bushier, and full of buds. So now I am growing the next generation in a Bio/Proterra mix. I'm brand new at this, so its a learning curve!

Yeah it'll be a learning curve :) yeah the roots really like perlite. And helps keep the soil from turning into a concrete block between waterings hahaa! I learned that one quick.
