Is it ok to trim some of the bigger leaves to open up light to more of whats happening below the canopy? If so how much? Theres alot trying to come through right now.

Kush I do a lst on almost everything I grow and I never trim off anything anymore. I used to and it did shock them and slow growth. Try to avoid triming if you can buddy.

I would have to agree with Romeo on this one. I spent a year trimming up on my autos before I saw this sight, and after much studying I decided to just let her do her thing. The ONLY time I take the scissors to her before harvest day is if some bottom leaves turn full yellow/crunchy and are no longer providing benefit to the plant. If you go and look at some of the killer grow journals in here, right before harvest often all the fan leaves have lost their color. The plant will actually use up the stored energy in the fan leaves toward the end of her life, so everything you leave there for her will help out!
Cheers, L4

I always trim any leaf that blocks a bud site, have to trim almost weekly..you'll increase the harvest by double at least...see photo..before and after the haircut, and a few days later (still has some to go)..if the bud site is blocked they can't get real fat, also opens up more bud sites and they get fat too!..creates more root growth also!

when do you stop trimming? Once it starts to flower? Ive only clipped a couple huge fan leaves and that cleared up alot of space. This is my first grow in awhile dont wanna stunt her.

Ya i saw that huge plant awhile back and was shocked. All i did was clip a couple bigger fan leaves and it opened up direct light on maybe 6 new shoots. I dont think its even started the explosive growth yet.
