I'm a 1st time grower with a 2 foot wide by 2 foot long and 4 and half foot tall box fully insulated with a separate chamber in the top of the box 4 germination and seedlings. I have a 250 MH running at 75%. First off where is a good seed company that delivers to the US? I had problems germinating, and currently its set me back. I have a couple of survivors and have been feeding them very little as well as keeping up with pH levels. I'm only a couple of weeks into this grow but if anyone has any tips on germinating, type of soil to use, and when to start feeding the plants as I have read alot and everyone has different ideas. I have 3 gallon pots for my girls which I am feeding all purpose miracle grow plant food twice a week and also have given them a half a miracle grow food spike. Next grow will be fox farm nutes and tiger bloom as I went cheap on the 1st grow. I also have super thrive which I haven't used yet. About to top the big girl and try to clone her. Like I said I have read alot of articles and watched countless YouTube videos so I have done my research. Hope to get some good tips

I think a good few of the US guys are using RCMC - they have a sub-forum here https://www.autoflower.org/f114/ and some nice strains including Mossys Dragons. Check it out - I'm sure others will have some other suggestions soon!

I had problems germinating, and currently its set me back.
I've been there!! After trying every method lots of times, I'm stuck on the paper towel germination method. .. let me know if you'd like more info on that :)

I'm only a couple of weeks into this grow but if anyone has any tips on germinating, type of soil to use, and when to start feeding the plants as I have read alot and everyone has different ideas
I sure there's a few threads up already on germination and feeding etc - If you can't find them, hit one of us up and we'll point you in the right direction.

Also - start a journal so we can come along for the ride - that's the best way to get help, get others involved hehe I've learned loads from experts advising me where i might be going wrong!! :)

I have 3 gallon pots for my girls which I am feeding all purpose miracle grow plant food twice a week and also have given them a half a miracle grow food spike.
I've only used canna specific nutes before - can't comment on MG other than their soil has a rotten reputation for growing Autos (which i think is what others may be getting at)

About to top the big girl and try to clone her.

Woah .. Woah ..Slow down there chieftain .. hehe- is it an autoflower? They (generally) don't like to be topped and cloning *while possible* has not proved worth while.
If she's auto and you're new to gardening - just let her be! :)

Hope that's helped a little.
All the best
Blue ^_^

Thanks for the help and I'm using an organic soil with a 1 to 1 ratio of vermiculite. MG is just the food which I started twice a week since transplanting her with peat pod 10 days ago and since then she has grown very well. I have found seed companies and thanx for the suggestion. Its kinda frustrating about germinating 10 seeds and 3 popped and 1 that popped has died. I have a pH meter amongst other things. Temp is steady at about 80 degrees with 30% humidity. Pics are coming.

www.growweedeasy.com Dump the MG and restart.

No need to link to external sites. All that information is contained here on AFN and it's geared specifically for growing autos, which as we know can be different that growing photos, which is what that site is primarily addressing.

IMG_20140424_083257.jpgHere is a pic both popped at same time and both on same notes. Both popped 15 days ago on 18/6 light schedule

Auto's do not like to be transplanted, you may have stunted one by doing so. It will grow but will always be the runt in most cases.

As far as buying seeds and shipped to the US, I've found Attitude Seed Bank to be the easiest and fairly priced.

Ok now i am having problems with a few other germinated seeds. I germinated using the paper towel method and from there went into rockwool cubes where they all have popped. Since then I have been running them on 6500K CFL bulbs at 18/6 but the stems on some of them are turning a dark color. PLEASE HELP!!!!!

A fool proof way to germinate seeds is get 2 or 3 paper towels, fold in half then in half again, saturate them with water, then place the paper towels on the lid of a tupperware or one of those cheap Glad reusable bowels, place seeds between the towels and place the bowl on the lid creating a humidity dome then put it somewhere warm and dark. I like putting on my DSL modem.

I usually have 100% germination success.

Or fuck all that and plant your seeds directly in the soil and keep it moist.

I got my seeds from Attitude, took 9 days to arrive in the Midwest United States
