Sup guys, decided to start my first journal. :tiphat:
This is my first grow ever and I'm bound to have more questions as the ladies progress. Thanks to everyone who has responded to my previous threads. It is much appreciated. I am on day 37 of my grow. I have 3 plants in my tent, but only 2 will pertain to this grow. The 3rd is an auto-widow/cheese, but I'm in the process of trying to get her out of stunt, so until then I'll leave her out of the journal. I hope this journal can provide some help to other newb growers.:smoke:

Setup

DR90II (3x3x6ft)
400w HPS w/ Lumatek Digital Ballast.
6in Cooltube - Ducting not setup yet.
6in Phresh Filter - Exhaust not setup yet.
6in Can-Fan-Max - Exhaust not setup yet.
Light Cycle - 24/0
Temps - 77-88 - Mostly staying 81-82
Humidty - 27%-36% - Mostly staying at 30%
Nutrients - Fox Farm Trio - Big Bloom, Grow Big, and Tiger Bloom
Other - (1) 40in Oscillating fan inside tent, (1) 8in. fan blowing in vent outside of tent.

Its a little messy on the side of my tent, with the wires and all, and I need to get my ballast off the ground, too much dust. Since I don't have my exhaust setup yet, I use the 8in fan on max setting to blow cool air into the tent via the vent, towards the cooltube. (see pic). I also keep my closet door open and my tent zipped about 90% to allow hot air out. Temps, humidity and exhaust aren't ideal, but best we can get right now.

Claudia Day 37

Here are pics of Claudia. I fed them 1/2 strength nutes today. I'm watering every 3rd day. PH is set to 7 from a Kangen Water Filter system before I add nutes. I don't have a PH tester yet to test run-off and soil. Claudia is getting taller by the day (almost an inch a day) She is about 15 3/4in.

Bonnie Day 37

She was stunted for about 1 1/2 to 2 weeks. I've since got her back in shape and she is starting to beast . She may even catch up to Claudia, we will see. She is about 11 inches.

QUESTION:

Should I have switched to flower nutes already for Claudia, I've read that you should switch to flower nutes with auto's when you start to see flowers appear, I've also read that you should wait until vertical height has stopped, and then switch to flower nutes? They are on day 39 today. NL says it is a 60 day strain, but of course seed sites grow times aren't exactly set. Please help thanks!

Stretching is part of the flowering process so yes you should switch over to flower nutes. Also I can't stress how important it is for you to have a PH meter. A lot of us use the Hannah Combo Meter, it measures PH and PPM plus it's water proof. Your plants aren't getting the nutrients they need because the PH of your feed water is out of wack which can also cause problems with your soil. Get a PH meter bro :Sharing One: It's a must have for every gardener :peace:

Get a ph meter and figure out the ph of your soil. Then find out what the ph if your water needs to be in relation to the ph of your soil. THIS IS CRUCIAL and I mention that you do this cuz sometimes you might have dirt with off wack ph and your water has to be different. Average optimal ph for wateris usually 6.5 btw . After you figure all that out do 1 1/2 teaspoons of tiger bloom per gallon. Adjust ph of your water. Then add 3 tablespoons of big bloom per gallon. Make sure your shaking the nutes to properly mix the contents and oroperly mixing your water when adding nutes and adjusting ph. Just be detailed.

Thanks guys, I'll be skipping Claudia's full dose of Grow Big and switch her to flower nutes next feed. I think I'm going to let Bonnie have a full dose of Grow Big and switch her to flower nutes 1-2 weeks later than Claudia as Bonnie is behind in terms of stretch and growth. Bonnie's flowers are looking way bigger than Claudia's though.

Day 41:

I went ahead and gave both girls 1 1/2 tsp. of Tiger Bloom and 2 tbsp. of Big Bloom per gallon of water. 1L for each of them. I started with Kangen water ph'd at 8.5, after nutes brought it to 6.5, went ahead and fed with that.

Claudia - She is 17in., some of her pistils are turning orange and her flowers are starting to look like they are going to turn into buds. Starting to see lots of trichomes. I hope I didn't wait to long for bloom nutes. NL says it is one of their fastest strains, finishing in as quick as 60 days. I kinda forgot reading that until last week. Hopefully with the bloom nutes she starts fattening up.
