Indoor Twin TD in DWC under LED done by B&B

The water out of my tap is PH9 I keep it between 5.4-6.1PH when in the res with the nuits.

I am thinking that the Ec is a little high for one twin and spot on for the other as it has not changed from 0.9. I am sure she will grow out of it in time. I did set the Ec a little higher for 24 hours and this is most likely the cause of the leaf curl...

Here are some more pics (I think) If they are not working could you let me know what the best way to put them up is

OK things I would do too try and get things settled,

1: with a ph of 9 I would a try letting the water stand for a day or 2 before you mix the neuts up, that will drop the ph abit
2: move the res out of the tent if possible, finda a spot thats as cool as you can for it then use a aquarium heater to bring the temps up, thats better than having them go up and down all the time.
3: back offf the neuts untill it settles down, less is always better until the problems are solved, I certaily wouldnt start adding silica and more chems till they were right again.

Thanks for your comment, I am growing in a single bucket DWC stylee... So moving the res out of the tent is not really an option.
I read earlier that the plants need silica to thrive as there is none present in the feeds i use. I am backing off the chems and hopefully they will get heather. They are a really nice green with no change in colour. The only thing concerning me is the leaf fold, there is a good pic in my last post.

Hi mate

and welcome, i have done a few DWC grows now and also i am now using 189x LED and growing the legend Think different!

You have done the right thing, back the EC of to 0.8 formulex at the most and run the light at least 30 inches away or if you can run it at half power.

Autos this size do not need hardly any feed. like wise they needs for light are a lot less.


this is one of my TD where i set the EC to high all my plants are about 12 days from seed.

heres some twins that are happy at 1 ec.

So what i ended up doing was dropping the EC right down to 0.5 raised the light to about 30 inches and added liquid silicon to help repair's and to add strength to the stem.

They have started to look really nice again with minimal leaf curl just some of the points raising slightly. The EC dropped from 0.5 to 0.4 overnight so i think they are recovering. I am mixing my veg batch tonight to start them off on in 2 days. I did notice a small piece of root floating in the res today, think it may have become caught on the air stone when i was taking a reading, the new root growth is going crazy! They are popping out all around the net pot now and have grown about an inch in the last 4 hours!

So i am going to ask for advice on my next mix, i use canna hydro products A and B veg, rhitz and liquid silicon. DOES ANYONE HAVE INFO ON CAL/MAG? As i am growing under LED i am under the impression that i need to add this but am unable to find any for this type of grow. Only a powder designed for tomatoes is what i can find. Will this be ok??

SB grew a monsta think different without cal/mag so its not like your plants will not grow with out it. i have not added it yet and this is my first LED grow.

Personally i would run another week with formulex up at 0.8 EC. whats the back ground EC of the water you are using? you may have said but could not see.

Things are starting to pick up.
The background of the tap water i have available is 9PH and the EC shows 0.0. This is the main reason i started my mix at 0.9EC. I have a feeling the main reason things got off a bit worrying was the res temp. The first week was difficult to keep the room and res temps down and the res was at 25c for about 3 days. I no longer allow it to go above 20c.

Have to say the new growth is looking really nice, the stem is really thickening up and has a small coat of hair. I am starting to notice 1 or 2 small blemishes appearing like on the first leaf before they started to curl. Little bit of a worry as the first leaves are pretty much toast, curled right up and just look burned to a crisp. The small blemish looks to have taken over 70% of the leaf at this point. I am thinking of removing them as the reserves that may have been being used are done.

I will have pics today. Going to use a better camera but need to work out how to get them on here Im useless...

Cal/Mag is on order.

The marks on the leaves are looking so much worse under the LED.. New growth is still going crazy! Stalk is getting thicker every day. Pics in next few days.

Switched to Veg nutes last night. Rhitzatronic, canna veg A+b, liquid silicon (last dose) will have cal/mag for next res change.
EC is at 0.8 Ph is sitting nice at 5.8 res temp is 16-22c room humidity 61% room temp 24c.

Any thoughts greatly appreciated.
