There are 3 Ultra Lemon Haze and a Nortern Lights #2 under 2 1000w HPS in 6 gallon pots of living soil. I wanted to start a journal of these. It is my first real grow. I have never had any real equipment(didn't stop me from trying though).
The room is mostly closed with a stand alone 10000 btu air conditioner. Any suggestions how to close off the "glowing" vent out my back window without restricting air flow.

Hello, just happened to stop in and caught your post. Not knowing what your setup looks like I can only suggest that if your using vent/exhaust tubing you might want to allow a drop or good bend in it, that will not restrict air flow and it will limit or eliminate light loss or entrance.

all I can say is awesome. u said 3 plants under 2k of lights I gotta see this. Subed gonna be great.

ImageUploadedByTapatalk1409889288.194740.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1409889308.205537.jpgthe first picture is trying to get a pic of the whole set up. I took it in the dark with a flash because with the lights on I cannot get a good picture cause of the HPS. Second is day 18.

When I have been watering I have been giving them just enough to saturate the soil but no run off in the bottom of these 7 gallon pots. There is one drainage hole but no run off. I just keep watering about 24ounces of water per plant each day. The top of the soil is dried out for about a 1/2 inch or more each watering. They seem to be doing fine. Do I need run off?

Love me a bit of Lemon Haze but not grown the auto version, I was wondering what your feed an lighting program will be as Auto seeds say "12/16 is the best photo period" for this strain and also say to feed veg nutes up until week 5/6. Was just wondering if you will be following their advice or doing it differently?
I was also wondering what the straw is for on the top of your soil as I have not seen that before?
I'll be sure sure to follow your grow as I wanna see how they turn out and might get some of these beans myself.
Have a good grow.

that 5 day growth is beautiful! :O

nice work!

I have them on 18/6 and I have not fed them anything except the admendments I made to the soil. Well i added a very little molasses and coconut water to a couple of waterings. Straw or any type of mulch seems to be real beneficial to the living soil. There are some types of living mulch that can be even more beneficial... I think clover... I have to look into it. I am going to top dress in some gypsym, neem, alfalfa meal, guano(I know not sustainable but I have it), and fish by day 21.
