This is something most people don't really understand because most people aren't sociopaths. World leaders, almost always sociopaths with no real true belief system other than in themselves. Always self serving and looking out for their own best interests first and also enjoy reveling in others misery because sociopaths are like the opposite of humans.

Your point about religion is bang on too. Almost everyone I know has a religion of some form. Doesn't mean they believe in God though. Unfortunately many of them are led around by their religions in their decision making and use all kinds of emotional reasoning about the topic. A good example is Global Warming. I am on the fence about the subject as I have gone over much evidence and the topic is so complicated that I don't think it's clear one way or the other and I certainly don't think the alarmism is warranted at all. But I know people who treat it like a religion with various global warming authorities as their God, and they frequently do not go over evidence objectively.

I'm not starting an argument about global warming by the way, I am simply unconvinced of it's "rock solid" basis in science. It's more a political movement that seems to be about establishing further control as far as I can tell based on science that is far too early in study to make any kind of firm conclusions.

without digging into deep seeded dogma issues that cloud a conversation ill just say this. within my faith god wanted us all to live on this earth from our descendants (adam and eve). his sovereignty was questioned by satan and instead of throwing satan out as he rightly could he decided to let both satan and man find out that they couldn't rule themselves. he is showing satan that even though he has power over this world right now that there are still followers of god that will oppose satan even when he has a majority hold over this earth. god doesnt want us to die at all. that isnt his plan. his plan is to populate this earth with the undying offspring of adam and eve which will come to light after satan is cast out and we are brought back to earth and live here for all eternity. Think of it this way. If a teacher was doing a math problem and a student stood up and said that way was wrong and they knew the way what could the teacher do about it. He could A-throw the kid out, or B- let him do the problem the wrong way and therefore show all others in the class that he is wrong and that only the teacher has the authority to teach. In this analogy god let satan rule for a time (now) so that the other angels would understand that he is wrong. in christian scripture you have to relate that all angels are of the same family so its like they are brothers. if you show that your brother is wrong you will know not to challenge the authority of the parent figure(god). if you simply threw the kid out you would give that kid more followers and create a mess (they could think god just didn't want satan to prove him wrong so throw him out now). there is more to it and funny enough this is some of what my bible study was about today but i dont feel like diving deeper into it to explain at the moment.
 
I'm sorry t-shirt but you've given me no evidence or proof. Do you actually think the world is 5,000 years old and we descended from adam and eve even though the theory of evolution has been backed by stacks and stacks of evidence? What test do you have to prove these theories of yours? The bible is not a notable source, it is a novel compiled of conflicting stories from the bronze age.

I dont care what anyone believes in; be it Chocolate pooing rabbits or Mr. Break and Enter (AKA: Santa) himself, imo religion has no place here :)

i cant give you some scientific answer to why but i simply have faith as ive seen how bible predictions have come to be in normal daily life. i dont think the earth is 5000 year old though no(most Christians aren't that dense). and my argument for evolution is that it can exist outside the scope of humans being put here after the animals. evolution is there and i don't dispute it but just because were closely related genetically to monkeys doesn't mean i came from one. i never said i would give you evidence to what i believe just explaining what my faith consists of which is why i generally don't talk religion online. was giving a view on how this planet came to be in the turmoil it is in now not through god but Satan(also how god isn't the guy making bad things happen as you said). it all again just comes down to a matter of faith. either you have it or you don't. not saying i think im better than anyone just airing out my personal views as this was the discussion at hand.
