hey guys i use a uv and was wondering if this murders developing seeds?

thc acts as a sunblock protecting the inner from uv rays thats why thc production goes up when you add a uv i was just wondering if the thin layer of thc will save the seeds from getting cooked

probably not gonna get alot of answers here but if anyone has experience using a uv at same time of making seeds do tell

:stir:

The way I remember it UVB can cause damage to DNA in cells.
But no one is sure of why cannabis evolved trics.
Though tricombs block uv that me be incidental and seeds may develop perfectly in the suns UVB..

cannabis evolved trichs for two reasons
1. defense mechanism against bugs and uv(thc dramatically increases with the introduction of uv rays)
2. its the smartest domesticated plant on earth

Guys I'm gonna move this thread to general AF discussion, this section is for test growing

I agree. Watch...

"Cannabis... sit! Good... Now, cannabis, roll yourself into a joint. Yay! Good cannabis. Who's a good plant? You are, cannabis, oh yeah. Want some water? Hmmm? Yes, you look thirsty."

See. Its brilliant.

animals do it for affection/food cannabis does it for species preservation a little different but i like your personification analogy better :)

hello charles

my breeding area is lit by cfl's that do in fact throw off more uv a and b then hid lighting does , my seeds and thier germination rate are spectacular , not trying to brag or pat myself on the back or anything , just letting you know with an in depth answer

a lot of people claim the best bud they smoked was seeded bud , so i think the plant is already producing more to protect the seeds anyway

peace

I don't know a lot on this subject, but I want to learn more. This is "thinking outside the box" in my opinion. I did not know that thc lined or surrounded the inner part of the seed, that is very interesting. Not to dis' you or anything. but I thought thc formed in the plant after cbna's, which turn into thc or cbd's. So there must be some distributed into the seeds, but in tiny amounts, no yes no?

Okay so I watched a video, and it explained a theory. Cannabis depend on humans to keep their species alive. The way the plant evolved, as a medicine, was with beautiful colors of flora, and very succulent aroma. Thus enticing humans to use, and to further thier species. EVERY civilization, on every part of the plantet has used cannabis as a mind altering substance, (except apparently the Inuits, cuz it doesn't grow on ice,) either as a spiritual medium, for recreational use, or for medical reasons.

In effect, The plant is cultivating US. Yes we benefit greatly, but it is the cannabis plant that is manipulatiing us, not the other way around. How do you feel about being manipulated by a plant? I say, whip me, beat me, make me write bad checks!

So it is no surprise to me that these characteristics are in this plant.

Eek

Those poor, poor inuits. And who's signature was it that said look how the plant has us trained to water and feed it? I forget. Same premise though.

In nature that's what they call a mutually beneficial relationship, or a symbiotic relationship. Sure, it can be parasitic in the sense that if you let it, you'll go broke just trying to get some bud, however, for the most part, if you play your cards right, you can clone the living hell out of a mother plant and virtually never run out of green.

i've thought the same thing bob, thc acts as sunscreen but why protect sensi from the sun? no, they are there to protect the vital antioxidants inside the seed, kinda kool science when you think about it, the thc protects antioxidants in the seed and has anti-mutagenic effects (referring to refined hemp oil, we wouldn't eat our prized seeds now, would we? ;))

i think ill just point the seeded bud away from the uv just 2 be safe this time and give more uv to the sensi side of her
