Here is one I wrote about Root66 and I about four years ago

It's a Funny Thing

Verse 1

I always try to write a romantic song
Trying to make you turn my way
I put in all the loving things
and things that are hard to say

But when I try to put down those lines
I just can't shake the thought
the day you shot milk through your nose
when you saw the shoes I bought

Chorus:

It's a funny thing
This you and I
we don't always agree,
but we both see eye to eye

It's Irony,
It's bonafied
this friendship has turned into love,
and the joke's on you and I

Verse 2

The last time I tried to sing you my love
nothing would come out
not that I couldn't love you more
of which I have no doubt.

It is usually comedy
So how can I be expect to write a love song
