Day 35

Fed half gallon each with nutes at 50%.

The bushy slow-mover in the back had become thickly foliated again so I gave her a haircut. She's probably not gonna be happy but I'm not giving up on her. Finally starting to look like she wants to bloom.

Day 36!

Girls fed with half gallon each plain RO water and will get another quarter gallon each with Calmag and nutes a few hours later. They were super thirsty.

My slow girl in the back looks like maybe, possibly, soon she will switch over? Few close ups:

I am going to use the back girl, if she flowers, to try out lollipoping.

Day 37.

Each plant got one gallon RO water & 5mg/gal calmag.

Three were showing yellow tips from minor nute burn and the one in the back left hasn't raised its leaves in a few days though it seems to be working on flowering.

Will check later to drain out runoff and then feed 1/4 gallon each with 1/2 nutrients.

Day 38

Fed 1/2 gal each RO with 8ml Big Bloom, 1ml Tiger Bloom, 6ml CalMag per gallon.

They'll get a second one approx 8hrs after the first - they're using a lot of water every day and only the bushy slowed girl has any runoff at all.

I had to give them all a haircut, especially the slow girl. The biggest bloomer (back left) had also gotten incredibly dense again.

Also cleaned up the bottoms a little - stalks on these plants look beefy!

Also, after a bunch of reading, I'm conducting an experiment. My partner is not thrilled with me over it at the moment.

Its a 3gal aero cloner bucket I picked up for later experiments. Pulled the aero fixture off the pump and submerged it, turned it up enough to break the surface of the water and create splashing to increase dissolved oxygen - couple frozen water bottles in there to decrease water temp and increase DO capacity. I will PH it and use for my second feeding later tonight.

I guess I screwed up at the whole taking it easy and keeping it basic for the first ever grow.


I have a tendency to jump deep down the rabbit hole with all of my hobbies, and search out and filter through as much knowledge as I can find. It usually gets me into trouble.

Pretty sure this is nutrient burn, and not from heat or light stress, is that correct?

Centers of some of the leaves seem to turn lighter than the edges after feeding. I have only been running half nutrients. Plants are drinking, gallon in daily (split into two waterinfs) and only one plant has any runoff.

Is this a big deal at this stage? Plain RO water with just CalMag for next 2-3 days?

Seems like I am just kind of riding the edge of nutrient burn, but I'm not experienced enough to tell.

Anyone have any input?

Day 39.
Juat watered w RO/CalMag today.

Plants got several inches bigger overnight.

Day 41

3/4 gal each, 8ml BB, 1.25ml TB, 5ml CalMag. Water was aerated with a waterfall for 3hrs before watering.

Day 42

3/4 Gal each, 8ml Big Bloom, 6ml Grow Big, 5ml Cal Mag per gallon. Aerated water and mixed nutes in the bucket- added three frozen water bottles for last hour and water was 60F when I watered the girls. Experimenting a little bit because I have CantLeaveStuffAloneItis.

Back right girl is just moving so slow - she's still showing early signs of pre-flower and hasn't started to move along yet. Buds on the back left girl are much bigger than the other two.

The front right girl has the most showing and are pretty good size too.

Certainly an extremely satisfying hobby. I love nerdy shit and there's certainly plenty to nerd out over.

Day 43.

3/4 Gal each RO + 5 ml/gal CalMag, chilled to 60F and aerated for five hours.

The bushy slow one got a serious haircut and plants got moved around a bit.
