Hello everyone!!

This is my vey first grow and I would love any kind of input. I currently have 3 Think Different in Biobizz Light Mix. They are about 9 Days old. And another Think Different about 4 days old in the same soil. All 3 of my TD are growing at different pace.. one looks like its really struggling. My healthiest one just started curling her leaves up... I'm guessing heat issues since my tent does run a bit on the warm side. 80-85F RH 25 to 35. I started the grow with a 600 HPS and had it too close to the plants.. I now have it all the way up at the top until I get some more growth. I know I should have used a different light from the start but Im too far ahead in the game now and honestly can't afford another set of lights.. They are a bit too expensive in my country. So far I have only been giving them .5m per Liter of Biobizz Root Juice and that was once. I have only watered once since planting them in Soil. Soil stays moist a while since they are in bigger pots.. 11L

Biggest of the 3; Curling leaves (9 days)

2nd Biggest; Has not really shown much growth past couple days. Well from what I can tell.

And here is the rut.. I think there was some root damage when I put her into the soil. It popped up and was yellowing a bit one on of the leaves but that went away on day 4 and it has slowly been growing.

So basically I feel like I am a bit behind from other diaries I've been following and reading. My non educated guess is that I exposed them to too much light and heat right off the bat. Any suggestions on how I can remedy the situation? Just give it time? Im due for a watering tonight; the first two inches of soil is dry but the soil below is still a bit moist. Do you guys think I should feed the bigger one some grow Nutes?

Thanks for all your help! I will be updating this every couple days until I have completed the grow! :D

You can't rush them at this point. They are putting most of there energy into growing roots so top growth will be slow at this point.Your humidity is low so try and raisethat if you can. I would wait another three or four days and then feed them1/4 dose veg nutes. You should see them pickup growth in about a week or so.

Right, I use bio bizz light mix. Do not feed your plants grow til they are 10-15cm high. They will be fine til then, good choice with the root juice and good amount.

This is extremely important and you will mess up your grow if you do not take this advice. Between waterings and feeds, you must let your soil dry out. I aint talking dry out a bit either. You want it like desert sand. Then water it like this. Pour little bit of water around the main stem, so there is a little puddle around the main stem. Then leave it for like 5 minutes whilst it soaks in. Then feel the weight of the pot. You need to water it very slowly, especially in those 11 litre square pots. DO NOT SATURATE THE SOIL!!! You are looking for a nice balanced watering with very little run off. Each time you pour some water on it, give it a few minutes to see if the run off starts coming out the bottom. When it does, you have watered it correctly. I cannot emphasise on the importance of leaving gaps of 2/3 minutes after pouring each bit on. I would use '1 litre maximum' of water/feed for 2 11 litre square pots. even if you have a bit left in the jug, if you are getting run, stop there! It may need less. If you pour too much on, you will saturate the bottom of the pot, the roots will then rot because they are too wet too often. You should also look at using airpots for 2nd grow. Buy a cheap moisture probe. Fairly accurate, but they give you a real good idea. Let it go bone dry between waterings and you will see great improvements.

Can you improve the extraction in your set up?

Where are you taking the temp reading? It should be canopy/plant height.

Are you using bio bizz grow and bloom later in the grow?

Thanks for the advice on the watering. I will def try to keep that in mind when watering them. My extraction fan is currently set to 280m3 per hour. My tent is a 1mx1mx2m. I have two thermometers one at the canopy level and one on the light level but out of direct light. My intake is just negative pressure to a duct hose that travels about 3 feet to the window that is cracked. I can't open the window any more since I am on the first floor of my apartment complex and I don't want it to be too noticeable. Def getting a ac unit for the grow sometime with in the next couple weeks when I can afford one.

I'm actually using Iguana Juice Grow and Bloom. My friend swears by that stuff. Do you usually get a calcium deficiency with the Light mix; Ive been reading that down the line that is very likely.

I was planing on using air pots this grow but monetarily it didn't work out. I will def use them for next grow :D

Thanks for all your help!

I want to try that Iguana grow and bloom. Will be watching this even closer... :-) Set up sounds awesome. You're on it!

No don't get any mag cal defs, used to before when I did lame feeds. I finished my last auto's on 2ml grow and 6ml bloom per '1' litre. Only get mag defs when I used less nutes in the feeds.

Random thought... should I top the pots with soil since the soil is compacting down? Im about two inches from the edge on my pots.

i have think differents at day 34 right now and the start is SLOOOOW my friend. They are putting down roots so they can Veg and take off and wont fall over...do what stealth says and all will be good... dont water very often for the first 2 weeks.... i did nutes at about 1/4 what they recommend for first 2-4 weeks then went to half the next two up until today. just go light with nutes and dont water to often. the first 2-3 weeks seems like snails pace but trust me after about day 25 they start to take off if you take care of them... my 600hps was 3 feet off the canopy during week one and 2 then slowly brought it down and now sits at about 20". one thing that has really come in handy for me is the point and shoot thermometers with the lazer.. MINT for checking temps in different parts of the room.... if you got the money i think its well worth it for beginners so you can figure out how far or close you can put your light.. for the temps go out and get yourself some clip on fans or a 12" oscillating fan and put it so it blows between the canopy and the light... and if you can afford a second fan a cheap stationary one and point it at the 600 to blow the hot air up and away from the plants ( this is of course for a open bulb setup)

TD #3 Day 16

Didn't have too much time to take too many pictures. My TD #4 is the same size as the TD #3 but is about 4 days behind. Did some leaf tucking on TD 1 and 2.

Will do another update after my first feed of Iguana Juice Grow. Starting with a 1/4 of the dose + 2 ml Biobizz Root Juice.

:D

Wow, we almost started our TD grows at the same time. Your plants look great! At what point did you start your day count?
