Lighting Viparspectra par600 cob conversion

Going through similar thoughts now...
Also have 6x drivers only 600ma though.

Plan is to hook them up to 6x 1818 and thinking i will go for active cooling, and then prepare to upgrade the drivers, when i got more money:)... I found price difference between 1812 and 1818 to be almost non existing. I Saw someone who got a quote on 1825 from kingbrite at 10.5usd, will be about twice that for 1818 from Europa, but alot easier when a cob is not working or they send the wrong cobs...

Kingbrite says that for most of there cobs.. You have to ask for a quote and they'll give u there proper price.. The citileds are pretty cheap on there and ive heard that he is legit.. Bridgelux are actually more expensive on there, u can find veros cheaper in the usa..heatsinks and reflectors are much cheaper on kingbrite.. Hope that helps
Cheers

What cob can I run with this driver? It's out of my ufo led and I want to turn it into a cob light, this driver only has to run the light as the fan has its own driver. Thanks in advance.

Yeah....I just was looking around trying to find an idea of how things turned out ordering from them for others, but couldn't find anything really convincing. They do seem legit... I'm gonna avoid them based on the fact that they've already shown dishonesty by misrepresenting the price. I've had more bad than good experiences ordering from china, I'd rather get it from a source I know is trustworthy and pay a little more.

I'm pretty certain that will only run 50v cobs. Look at the DC output, it's 45-70v. The citizen 1812 and 1818 are what I'm considering, they should work on that driver. There's also the 1825 which I haven't compared cuz it's out of my price range, but might be worth checking out as you're just buying one. I would try to read up on them as much as possible, there's tons of info on here.

Your bang on with the 50v cob..
Good luck
Cheers

Even better idea. Vero 29 7th gen.. You'll get a bit more out of this cob, because of the low amperage from that driver.. Glad to hear you like those konop, i just got 16 of the new vero 29 gen 7 SE's... I got the d version though, 36v... So i can run 4 off a hlg240-1750...65w per cob....
Cheers

Oh yeah, I forgot about the 68v vero 29s. In my case, I dont think they'd work. There are 3 12 volt fans the drivers are powering. I'm not sure how exactly they draw power, but I'm assuming they pull 6v from each driver.

Allllllriiiiiight. After an apartment inspection, losing power for 4 days, having the HVAC guys here 3 times to fix the heat, running out of thermal paste, and a heroic amount of procrastination, I finally finished building my cob :D 20170316_214139.jpg 20170316_210315.jpg

I went with the 1818 90cri gen 6. The middle 2 are 4000k, the outside is 3000k. There are 3 switches, I'll start things off with the 4000k and futz around accordingly from there. Thanks to everyone for giving advice and sharing their knowledge. Going to get 2 Sour Stompers germinating tonight.
