To be fair the soil structure is more like silt from the sea floor than volcanic ash. The islands volcanic but it raised up from the sea. You can go to the centre of the island and find crushed shells from when it was under water!! The problem is there's not much of a water table below sea level cause of all the solid rock and once the dust starts getting too much moisture, it turns to clay. Even if I carried out a load of decent soil, rigged up a water system and planted them out in the the middle of nowhere, it's hard not to make tracks to it and a load of greenery would look out of place and like easy dinner for the 80,000 goats that roam the mountains.

^Young Hubba. Nice even canopy.. [emoji23][emoji23] I've been trying to stop her stretching too high whilst at the same time she's been getting shaded out by the monster in the corner so this is the result! [emoji51] she needs more space maaaan! Still on water pH 6.5

^ Bubba Kush. She's looking good.. Gone a bit tall ATM but I think the other side branches will soon catch up. Very dark green tho, I haven't fed her at all either so it's all coming from the mud. (Glorious stuff)

^ Critical+ (the monster in the corner) Fookinell man, this thing is taking the piss now.. She's still throwing out white pistils like she's a month into bloom.. I'm killing her on Friday to make room for the others but I reckon she's still happy go for another month and turn into a massive pile o' fox-tails. Trichomes are cloudy, that'll have to do. Plain water, straight from the tap.

^ Hubba. She's fattening up nicely, there's a few white patches on the leaves which point to pH fluctuations... Not sure how this could have happened unless I got drunk and mixed up the watering cans.. [emoji848] Maybe.. I've checked my pH pen, all seems well so I've chucked her a lil dash of cal-mag with 2ml/L of Tomorite for the last two days. She fookin stinks tho and the stank is getting stronger by the day.. Sticky-icky-icky. Ooo-weeee! [emoji6]
