I think part of it is the Si supp's, and they do get moved around some, so that stimulates some stalk building too,... wait, you mean the tent girls, or the OD photo's? Now they got wind blasted a lot, and they formed the fattest stalks I ever had hands down,... beefy!

yup, they appreciate mellow and even for fast growth. But. at the risk of being divisive, am I imagining or do the outdoor girls give up more potent dope?, when conditions are good of course.

It's looking to be a fine finish before the tent closes shop for a while! This new soil has been the best to date I've tried: Royal Gold King's Mix- .... breaths well, dries pretty fast, has held pH nicely, though that in part is due to the GBD soil amendment they're in. The last run wasn't GBD though and it still held great! ....They are getting fairly heavy PK inputs too , since I don't think the amendment alone "water only" is going to produce the best results,...
AutoCOB + P300 combo is kicking ass! Performance is excellent, and the flexibility with height is very handy,... I can see why some folks like 6" tents though! I had to direct hook the P300 to the top, off the adjustable hangers to keep distances OK,... the COB is the best for that, and for a wider spread of light.... I have the FS top hooked and pulled to the side so she doesn't fry!

:smoking: ayuh, they do! In fact all the auto's go outside during bloom for what prime Sun I can get them, now and in the past... So to date, I have not grown fully artificial light only plants, I love that UVB boost too much! ... I think in the past the non-tent grows simply got too cool, too long,... light hours/quality, nutes, etc. are pretty much the same, the biggest difference is in the overall long term higher T average. The P300 does have some UVB production, but I don't know how much, how well it's covering much less penetrating,... ain't nuthin' like the Sun ay?

@Waira ,grotec question:
After I made my soil this spring pots were testing 5.8-6.1. After grow 6.4-6.5. At preflower I started boosting with Ultra Bloom, 0-10-10. The P coming from bone meal. Available calcium sweetening things up?? First time I've tested my soil and was amazed at the swing during the season.

Really outdoor better then indoor in potency .I have only done a few outdoor they came out HUGE but I would say my potency was A bit lower but terps better on outdoor. But with my GN 008s i get the uvb and rock hard buds when conditions are right.

good lights are key. My indoor growing is quite limited, I grow spring window with lights. I know I'm bias, and the difference in potency of window grown to greenhouse/outdoor could be a strain thing too. In my limited experience in my environments, outdoor and indoor, outdoor beats indoor for potency.

I'm not sure Trail, since I don't make my own soils per se,... but bone meal doesn't have much carbonate in it? That's what's directly involved with pH buffering, not Ca,... Could be the action of the rrots, 'crobes, acidic inputs have worked on dissolving the CaCO3 more, and/or your water inputs depending on how hard the water is,... I bet EoF knows of bone meal tends to raise pH, but given the dynamics of pH in soil over a grow, who can say for sure what was behind it and to what degree!



DAB's brudda! UVB is a definite positive factor for THC elevation, but I'm not sure exactly why, what purpose from the plants perspective,.. likely it's involved with blocking UV wavelengths, since protecting the potential seed's early vulnerable cells from DNA damage is important!
