Lighting Watts per square foot?

My Mars II 900W pulls about 411 watts at the wall plug.
411 is the number I use to figure watts per square foot....correct?

Yep so 411 is your Actual watts you want to use the 411 and divide by 9 if you have the 3x3 cant remember what size tent ya got.

That's what I like to hear bro. Hey...I went to the Mars website and they recommend the 900 be 12 to 18 inches above during flower. Is that a bit close in your opinion?

Its a sweet spot. I normally leave my lights about 26-28 inches in Veg. but im running alot more wattage.

The ladt 2-3 weeks i drop them to around 12-15 inches above canopy.

My plants are from 15 to 20 inches tall at a little over 4 weeks old and starting to flower like mad. Real bushy. I'm wondering when I need to drop it down a bit from the current height which is currently 15 inches from the tallest to 20 inches from the shortest.

4 weeks your still in Veg i only drop lights and switch to flower nutes once vertical growth stops.. Normally around day 40-45 il start the flower process. By introducing my flower nutes then il drop the Lights about a week after first flower feeding.

Oh okay. I thought these Autoflowers were in bloom because of all the flowers going off. Vertical growth has slowed to a crawl.

At that stage i like to call Pre Flower. Give them another week or so as they normally get a nice Strech once you start seeing Pre Flowers.

At least a week then go forward with Flower. Is what i would do.
