I have been growing A/F now foe a bought 8 months now. Experimenting with diff strains and seed banks. Making the usual mistakes, doing it right at times. Having a hell of a good time doing it. I just harvested an auto AK from OO seed bank. I think it was some kind of a freak or something. It cured (65% RH) out at 7.5oz I usually get 2.5oz to 3oz if I do it right. but DAMN.
Is this normal?

7.5 oz is pretty huge IMO from what ive seen around. Even the best get a consistent 2-3oz per plant. I guess it depends on the strain, time it took, and conditions. Anything is possible :P

Damn 7.5 is nice! Got any pictures of the plant? I would very much so like seeing it. If that is possible.

I use happy frog soil in 3gl air pots. I germ the seeds in wet paper towel for 24hr then I put them in a coca plug that I have sunk in the 3gl. pot I have found that this will not shock the new root, I get it to break the soil in 3days. I have ah 400wt. mh at 18" from the new plant until the 2nd. set of leaves, then I get it down to 12'-10'' and leave it there. I have the light on for 24hr. all the way to the end. 1 week into flower I switch to a sodium bulb. still at 24hr. keeping the light as close to the as possible. 2 weeks into flower I give it some big bloom at 1/4 the recommended concentration ONE time, thats it! no more for the entire grow!
I'm sure that there is a better way, but threw trial and error I have found that this works for me.
Thats how I do it.

Hmmm, happy frog has very little nutes to begin with, and you fed it a very dilute feeding ONCE? And got 7.5 oz. from a 3 gal pot?? :joint:

Um, pics or it didn't happen... ;)

7.5 is a nice yield from a photo plant, btw - less than a commercial grower but better than average!

Thats what I'm saying!!!!!
Not trying to be some kind of supper grower or expert auto guy! just wanted to know if anyone ells has had this happen. I dont have picts. I am in a very sensitive position with my employment and dont want to give the MAN any ammunition.
Happy frog IS the best thing that I have found to grow in. As far as it not having the nutes to sustain such a plant? I think it has more to do with the mycorrhizae and bacterial content along with the air pots. I have nute burned my plants befoer. And it sucks!!!!!

I'm having a very hard time believing you got 7.5 oz dry from a three gallon pot and just happy frog. I've grown many plants in happy frog and agree that it's awesome, but I'm not even pulling numbers like that with super soil. A plant large enough to put out 7.5 oz would deplete happy frog by the time it was done vegging, if not sooner. Also, the microbes don't produce nutrients all on their own, they process what is in the soil. Microbes themselves are not nutes.

Not trying to be a jerk to you, but a claim like that needs some backup before I'll believe it.

I dont know if this will work but here you go
this is a NLxCM its in its 50th day
room is 3'x4'x6'
seems to like the happy frog
this one isnt as big as the AK was
