Extraction weird bho making question

i heard you can make it over a layer of salt to hhelp with water evap. how does that work? does the salt stay in? get taken out?
anybody know? this is the first time i ever heard of it...

Never heard of it I don't think I would try it , I have used 99% alchohol in my purging dish to make absolute Amber bho pretty much just purge into a small layer of alchohol and strain the alchohol through a coffee filter back into a purging dish and it takes away all of the impurities from the plant waxes , oils , and moisture and leaves you with some really really tasty bho

Slightly Stoopid could u elaborate on that process further please. I am going to be making a bho run as soon as my ti nail vapor dome and honeybee extractor get here sometime this week

@Ctruss420 - his explanation is pretty simple and he probably can't explain it any more. Simply take your honey oil and dissolve it in alcohol. Then run it through a coffee filter and let evaporate in the purging dish again. Viola! the majority of the BHO nasties will have been removed.

Whom ever told you about he salt may have given some bad advice. I would never try that. Besides, where is the water coming from that you want to remove? You said you were using Butane to make the oil, correct?
