Live Stoner Chat Well Hellloooo...

Hello chum,

AFN is here for you and has a search box that will answer all you questions. Keep posting my new friend............eP.

You'd do well to follow this link, check out the stickies and the grows. I'm a sod buster myself, can't even spell rwdc:biggrin:

Haha my hands move faster than my brain at times... Rwdc, rdwc, rumandcoke, etc etc.
Going to downsize from my original plan. Instead of pushing 40 gallons of water between two totes, I'm going to push 8 the first time around, and once I get the hang of it, I'll run the 40 gal. set-up. This is a lot different than tossing a ton of bag seed into a cornfield after the last frost, and hoping something worthwhile grew when you go back in late August... A lot more work.
Going to be ordering seeds next pay, and then It's on.

hey buddy welcome to afn. ganjamotos monster was what got me into this aswell. tried twice to take him on and got nowhere. managed a pounder the second time though. anything by dutch passion is capeable of such yields. mephisto have a few aswell. not sure about the ph perfect nutes, i use the same ones ganjamoto used. make sure you get iether hydro gaurd or sm-90 though. it keeps the res clean. youll get all sorts of problems if you dont use one of those products. regarding your light, there should be a sticker on the back of it with “actual wattage” or “true wattage” thats the number you want. : )

Thank you for reminding me to order the hydroguard.
I went with the cheapest nutrients I could find at the local Hydro shop, Which happened to be gallon jugs of Humboldt Nutrients' three part. Picked up Cal-Mag and... I forget the name, but it's a Silica suppliment. For my first run or two, I'm sticking with cheaper stuff until I get the full hang of growing... Speaking of which, who's got the "best bang for your buck" seeds? I found a 15 pack (5 Blueberry, 5 Amnesia Haze, 5 Northern Lights) on ILGM for $99, and it seems like a decent deal...although I have my doubts about their genetics. Every grow you see that uses RQS, Dinafem, AMS, etc etc winds up with pretty impressive plants... ILGM's grows, not so much. Think I just talked myself out of that order haha.

I see you enjoy eating fish. Should I get paranoid about being referred to as "chum", then?

that scilica is wicked stuff mate. turns the plant into rubber and makes it pretty difficult to snap bits : ) jumps your ph up though so be careful with it. if you want more for less then check out seedstockers. its mostly dutch passion genetics but at a fraction of the price. tag me up in your journal once its going and ill gladly help you out. youve got a steep learning curve ahead of you but just ask about absolutely anything your not sure of. can tag us @EvilScotsman like that. witchyhour, KushNFT and sanguine are all pretty handy with a hydro res aswell. youd do well to have a look through some of their grows for pointers : ) you got ph and ppm meters?

PPM, yes. Ordering the hydroguard, ph meter, bloom booster(maybe), and seeds next weekend.
Speaking of ppm, Bet you didn't know that a cup of coffee with a little bit of cream reads at 1850ppm. (My water sits at 300ppm,+/-30. Oddly enough, the days the chlorine is noticeable, the ppm is lower)
I've been picking up little bits here and there over the last few months, Or when I get them super cheap, like that no name LED (one of the $100, 1000watt full spectrum chinese models on amazon).
Once my wife lets me, I'm going to pick up a plasma light.( once I review voltage use and what not)

spend a bit of money on a decent ph meter. the cheapy ppm pens seem to work fine but i went through 3 ph pens before i finally caved and spent 50 quid on one. never actually seen anyone use plasma lights other than ganjamoto. i just use mars hydro lights, theyre pretty cheap and plenty powerful. got 540w for £240. : )

and my tap waters only 60ppm
nah nah nah haha
