hey there
I have only used ionic coco from growth technology.
Anyone else using this with autopots?

If not what are you using.

I have ionic nutes to use but wondering if I should start using others as always experienced issues on my grow however been happy with the results.

Thanks

For my first grow using autopots I used Advanced Nutrients with the Hansbricks/Tangs easy feed schedule. I did good for me first time using it. I'm now trying out Megacrop for this grow and will be adding some of their supplements. So far this grow looks better then my first starting out.

The ionic grow nutes are easy and PH remains pretty stable, there just isn’t a lot of people using the, that I can find so I can use what measurements they use as what is described on the schedule of the company who makes it seems too high

Also read that the advanced ones can cause build up on the autopot system.

I use biotabs. allows you to just use water in the reservoirs:)

Biotabs look interesting, looks like more manual work involved with these, I can’t just put in the res once or twice a week depending on how much the plants drink.

I do like the simplicity of putting nutrients in the tank and let them do their thing for a week or so.
I should also mention that it is difficult for me to top feed, I do this for the first two weeks before I turn the system on and that’s hard enough

Thanks for both of your responses

With BioTabs the only extra work is in preparing your coco or soil with the biotabs and some bacteria. Takes like a minute more per pot than just filling them up. Then you only need water in your reservoir, what could be easier and no weekly mixing of nutrients. I did a grow with BioTabs and loved the convenience of using only water and never worrying about a clog.

I’ve also used AN, Technaflora, BioTabs, and now MC. AN doesn’t build up anymore than any other salt based fertilizer. I use Dripclean no matter what fertilizers I’m using, except for BioTabs. I have had issues in flower with all of them and after pop22 revealed that he was having better luck with a soil/coco mix I will be trying that on my next grow. I have see the same thing with my current MC grow, but have one plant in there in dirt and she is doing great while the 3 in straight coco are suffering.

Sounds to me like I need to look more into Biotabs

So I don’t need to top feed, and I can still use the autopot system?
And it is literally just the first time prep of the coco prior to the grow and that’s it?

I didn’t know of dripclean (noted that)

Yeah it's less work than bottle nutes :)
I usually mix up enough medium for my 4 plants add the few powders at the beginning then just push 2 tabs down into the medium.
Top water only for 3 weeks ish then I usually turn on the reservoir and then all I do is 1 top feed at week 4 and that's it until harvest.
I use a 100 litre flexi tank and only fill it every 10 days or so.
I have to say that I don't think I'll use anything else.
I love them :)

You still need to top water until the roots get down to the bottom with autopots which takes about 3-4 weeks. Of course we are not talking about a lot of water when they are that small. It will still be the easiest growing system you will ever use. And one of the few you can walk away from for a couple weeks while you go on holiday or business trips.
