As for now I would get some cheep PH test strips. I get mine from a grow shop but I think they also sell the same ones at the pet store for people to check the PH of the water in there fish tanks. They cost me like $4 or $5 I would use them every time you mix nutrients before you water. It comes in a roll, you pull off like 1 inch and dunk it in your water and it will turn a color. Check the color on the chart that comes with it to figure out what your PH is. A roll will last a few grows. Like I said though there are a lot of ways to grow weed so don't stress on any thing. I have a friend that grows using 6 month feed miracle grow soil under a T5 light. Veg for around 35 days, uses 1 teaspoon of flora nova bloom in a gallon of water as soon as he goes in to bloom and feeds every watering using sink water with out checking PH or warring about it and pulls 1/2 LB every harvest. His smoke turns out amazing. I do things the hard way a little.
