hi lads not ready for a long time yet but want to know when i chop them down how close to the bud do i cut and should i take all the leeves off or leave some on.
thanks

Try not to cut too much off of an auto. I have stunted and shocked them in the past. Their not as tough as photoperiod plants.
I normally trim all the an leaves right before harvest( like 2 days) so it can get more light one last time. But as far as trimming buds, I normally go to the base of the stem where it meets the bud branch and cut but I wait til i dry the plant as a whole.
Start the flush period.
2 days before chop remove all fan leaves
Leave plant in dark before chop down for 24 to 36 hrs. (Optional!)
Then trim sugar leaves and chop
Once dried I trim buds off the stems. And cure!

Just how I do it. Not saying I'm correct but just how I have always done it.
Hope this helps! Later.

That was a great question, I know some one who stunted the hell out of their's, not going to mention names. Lol. My first harvest I cut all the branches off at once, made for a horrible trimming. Good luck man.

I cut/trim and dry/hang mine a branch at a time ... I use a box w/ wires across the top w/ binder clips holding each branch ... works well for me ... when I'm ready to jar I trim the smaller buds off the branch and cut the larger buds off the branch leaving just enough branch (1/4") attached to the bud so that I don't need to handle the actual bud in the future ...
