Hi.

I'm just starting this thread because I think I may have asked to many questions in my last one for people to take in lol. So this is on just one subject. Here goes.

What type of fertiliser do I need to use and at what stage in plant development do I start using?

At the moment I have tomorite liquid fertaliser The NKP ratio is 4-3-8. is this okay?

I have read that a higher N ratio should be used for the vegetative stage of growth. But is it really neccasary as I have heard of so many people who use a basic general tomato feed such as tomorite and they have good outcomes by the time harvest arrives. Bare in mind as well that my plant is growing outside and it is Northern Lights.

Could people please give me their views and a bit of detail as well to exact ratios if I do need to alternate fertilisers and at what stage to commence fertiliser usage. I am doing this at a tight budget so can't afford really expensive fertilisers hence I would prefer to get what I need from a garden centre rather than some expensive online grow shop if I need to get anything else. But I am hoping that people can reassure me that the 4-3-8 ratio that I have already got is ok but at the same time I don't want to jepodise the health, yield or life of my plant. Obviously I haven't started using nutes yet because the plant has only just germinated so I need to wait a few weeks for it to establish.

Oh and by the way. I am growing the plant in a 20 litre pot filled with tomato grow bag compost just in case that makes a difference and the plant although only 2 cm is looking very healthy and green since it germinated 5 days ago.

Thanks Guys look forward to your replies :smokebuds:
