New Grower What works best, organic or chem nutes?

I have used both and now using Roots Organic.I don't no if I should go back to chem nutes or stay with Organics. Please give your opinion only if you have used both and don't forget to list brands of either one.

That seems to be more of a philosophical question. You can see here great grows using either. I don't buy into the "organic" stuff being better, although I would say that depends who's products you use. Without getting into a big discussion on the content of which is " better". I made my decision based on the fact i just didn't want all the work, stink, and mess of DIY organic materials. I didn't want to deal with all the fuss over "needing" 17 differentnon-organic nutes either and bud builders and bud enhancers and....etc. That led me to use General Hydroponics Maxi Grow and Maxi Bloom. That's it, the whole deal! I followed the KISS principal, and up to this point, it looks to be paying off. I've mentioned I'm looking into RAW Solutions products for my next grow. Its not "synthetics" is individual raw minerals. You make your own blend. Its something you might want to consider. They also have things like humic acid, etc. here's a link: http://raw-solubles.com/

The way the terms are used among plant growers, synthetic is synonymous with non-organic. Not organic in the healthy eating sense, but organic as in derived from organic plant or animal material. The RAW Solutions Nitrogen is certainly synthetic as it's made from ammonia sulphate which is man-made by reacting ammonia with sulfuric acid. That's not a bad thing, just different from a fertilizer made from things that were once living creatures. You can definitely save some money by buying dry ferts in bulk and mixing your own, but ultimately it's not any different that choosing an off the shelf liquid non-organic/synthetic/chemical fertilizer.

There are some places where showing up talking about Roots or GO nutes as "organic" will have people grabbing their pitchforks and torches. Hardcore "organic" growers would say that organic growing is only done with homebrewed soils and teas, not anything from a bottle. :smoke:

Pop22 you couldn't have dropped this link at a better time. I'm actually looking into launching my own nute brand. Raw-solubles.com seem like a pretty decent source for mineral salts etc.. I'll have to check out their pricing. I have a major announcement coming later tonight related to this. look for my announcement thread late tonight.
