No, likely all it would do is push it into full flowering sooner, resulting in a loss of yield. By waiting until vertical growth stops to make the switch to bloom nutes you're maximizing vertical growth and potential bud sites.

I let my plants grow for two weeks on only water until they have some "real" leaves, and from then on, I'm giving them only bloom nutes (10-60-10), and they seem to do just fine. They still get up to a meter if the container is big enough.
It all depends on the nutes, I assume, but nothing changes in my case.
