Good morning everyone! It seems I am having some issues with one of my plants. I posted in my Grow journal and was told this was the place to go with my question. I am growing a Heisenberg Special by Mesphisto. The medium is coco in a 16oz solo cup. I am using a knockoff brand COB LED and feeding with GH Cocotek nutes, mammothP, subculture M and my tap water ppm115 set out for 48hours before feed. My issues popped up within the past 7-10 days about the same time I went to 50/50 Grow and bloom. I noticed some brown spots and some other leaves have a purple outline to them. Anyone have an idea what is going on here? Thanks

Looks like slight nute burn so you may want to back off the nute dose and see if that helps.Your solo cup is more than likely root bound and this makes it harder to manage nute intake and overall plant health. It's not looking that bad but you might want to try larger pots next time.

Thanks for the reply. The solo cup was intentional. I wanted to see what was possible in such a small container. I will def cut back on the nutes. Would a flush benefit?

:toke: Big'-- that 850, does that include your baseline water ppm? That should be OK, but the solo cup constraints are factoring in here,... It looks P defc. to me, from the purple-red petioles and slight color burnishing on the fans,.. I'm not sure if this strain is known to color up, which could also account for the leave color... I'd go full bloom now too!

Thanks for your reply @Waira Yes 850 is total ppm. Basewater included. With it looking as a deficiency, I guess I should slowly raise the ppm? The signs the leaves showed had me totally confused. My initial reaction was the same as @namvet25 nute burn. One thing I forgot to add in my original post is that I have been checking my runoff as well. 850ppm going in and runoff was somewhere in the range of 1700ppm. Somehow the ph has been consistent +/- .1 on runoff.

...don't raise the ppms, switch to full bloom nutes, high P-K, low N,... :yoinks: wait, whaaat?-- you're getting 1700ppm on run-off? holy crap, that's a crazy high amount of dissolved solids mate,... you may have a lockout starting,.. I was unsure of some of the symptoms, the slight burning of the "teeth" tips, a sign of K defc., and ironically, toxicity as well,.. but that clues me in more dude, time to flush and reset that CEC in the coco! The recommendation I saw on this is: RO/DI water, with 150ppm Ca-Mg, plus 150 ppm of appropriate nutes, pH'ed to 6.0... pour through until r-o is near or at what inputs ppm/pH are,...

Will do! After the flush should I slowly work my way back to 850ppm? Or get the coco clean and then feed as usual? I really appreciate your help with this issue. Thank you!

Ibelieve I may be dealing with a cal Deficency. My base water is usually 105-115. I am using GH Cocotek nutes which have some added C/M in it but I'm not sure if it is enough. If I added enough CalMag to get my base in the 200ppm range then add my nutes would this be too much or possibly not enough?
