Noticed this on my stalk. She's 25 days old. Temps 65-75f. Humidity 30-50. Looked closely for anything moving and couldn't. What do you all think worry about it or not? Thanks in advance!

I would keep an eye on it, if it starts to spread then I'd worry for sure.......................

hmmm... I've never seen anything like that before... Definitely keep an eye on it. You didn't by any chance bend it there or accidentally hit it or strike it? I'm sure you didn't but it doesn't hurt to ask. Hope that stops in it's tracks... :smokebuds:

No damage done to her. My gut says it's not good so I'm def watching. Hope all is good cause I'm real excited about her and she's growing fast and strong. Was looming so gods before this.

Hopefully JM or someone will come through and offer advice. I am not familiar with deficiencies on stalks... Sorry Brother! Best of luck with that!

Look at it with a magnifying glass and see if it looks like this. If so, then it's scales.

The pic on the right is from a 10-200x digital scope. I cleaned the gooey stuff off and theres just the dark spots there now. Came off easy. Not attached or anything. Still doesn't look good to me.

Some kind of hard shell bugs.At least they got high before they died.Try and pick them off and see if they have legs.

That does sound like scales. The gooey stuff is what they secrete as they feed on the plant's sap. You'll need to get some neem oil and threat the plant with it to kill the scales.

A week later and no new growths on the stem. All seems well for now. Just wiped the stuff off with a q-tip dipped in peroxide.
