I'm not 100% sure if this is the right place to post this, but new growers looked like a good place for me to start. I'm beginning my first grow in a couple weeks, as I am Canadian and legalization is getting closer. I have my autoflower seeds on the way and my grow tent all set up.
I am wondering what is the least amount I can do nute wise without harming the plant? I am on a tight budget, and a huge harvest isn't that big of a deal to me since over half will be given away to family anyways. So how much do I really need if I only want the plant to be healthy, and not optimize growth?

Well since your a first time grower u picked the wrong seeds to start with. Autos have very little tolerance for mistakes. U need to research your strain look at some peoples grows, with that strain if possible. Every plant strain grows a lil different . u gotta mention what medium u will be using and lights. There are a lot of variables. So with autos don't think your gonna pull a whole lot the first time less u get lucky. I've seen people get 10 grams dry. Not enough to give away. My advice grow photos way easier

Thanks for the info. Iv'e been reading for a while and just decided to join today so I could finally ask a question and start posting. Also as far as whats available, anything amazon has to offer. I am just trying to keep the cost down as a full line a nutes can be a bit pricey.

hang about.keep reading and posting,we will get you sorted...not me and not today, but ya get the drift :d5:
first up im gonna move this thread over to introductions to get you a proper welcome :pass:and the info you need.when you plant the seed start up a new growers journal
i can only speak of my own nutes, biobizz (probably not available in your neck of the woods) i would use 3 bottles a year costing £30 ish growing in a cupboard.
good luck n keep er lit.

Bag of Happy Frog, 1 quart of perlite, 1 cup of wood ash, 1 cup of crushed/powdered egg shells, and 2 bags of (not chicken), manure, and PH'd water will grow you a decent plant on the cheap. Keep one bag of manure for top dressing about once every two weeks after the first month. Your not gonna have monsters, but a decent grow. Fill a ten gallon pot with the mix, and leave room for the top dressing.

Most of that stuff should be free, or cheap. For PH up or down, try that alaskan brand, its cheap, and goes a super long way. PH to 6.5 ish, and it's okay if you fluctuate the PH a bit under, to a bit over.

You should come in under $50 USD

Keep the CFLs close, I got a decent yield with them. I grew a plant with a veg and flower fertilizer with magnesium and kelp juice. Cost me £2.50. a good tomato fertilizer works too. I use the ones with kelp in as this helps the plant stay healthy.
Never know until you try! Good luck, HMU if you need help. @Rollin_along
