When to harvest is a topic that causes more worry than it should.
The fact that people even argue about it means that most methods work well, and it probably doesn't matter very much.
We are told that cloudy means head high, and amber means couchlock, but we're never told by HOW MUCH.
Consider this silly argument: If amber means 1% more couchlock than cloudy, but takes 2 more weeks, then why wouldn't everyone harvest when cloudy, even if they want couchlock?
And does the thc degradation product cbn really cause couchlock? Not in me, because I've over-decarbed on purpose to see what effect cbn has on me. It was insomnia and jitters, not couchlock.
More evidence that harvest time doesn't matter much:
I segregate less ripe, white haired popcorn buds from colas during harvest, and make edibles from both the popcorn and the main buds.
I can't tell much difference when using equal weights, which tells me that even unripe herb is pretty good.
