if you are growing autos then after they finish their stretch and focus on flowering would be a good time to shift spectrum from veg to flower. with photos the change is the same fluorescent for veg hps for flower.a local hydro shop owner is running 9000 lumens per sq foot on tomato plants so I think you would want to use as much light as you can without getting your grow room too hot
