Usually at this time of the year my garden is a buzz with bees, i plant many flowers that attract them....but this year so far nothing, nada, zip. Has anyone else noticed the complete lack of bees this year ?.

Now that I think about it I haven't seen any either. I've seen hornets and wasps but no bees  maybe they all moved somewhere tropical

I'ts been to cold yet really cool spring where I live. Also Iv'e heard that some sort of virous is lowering there numbers and this isn't good.Without bees we would be in a heap of touble.

Nop ......and it seems like more this year, they like too chew holes under your my deck.......:smokebuds:

Yes mate the late spring and coldest one for 50 years has set them back a bit,or so they said on springwatch. Iv had them in my garden my rhododendron has just flowered :smokebuds:

I'm at 43.0481° N, 76.1478° W .........for the record

We've been having a great spring and beginning to the summer here (very unusual for here) And still no bees have shown up. Yeah Nammy colony collapse is being reported all around the world, some Bee farmers in the US have seen a 60% loss in bees. and the Chinese are supposedly pollenating some fruit trees by hand.

Wasps kill bees.

I use Imidacloprid an checked into it.
Imidacloprid an colony collapse disorder was bunk science from 90s France activists.
None of their clams were validated.
The worold pulled he product , tested it an returned it the shelfs .
Exept in France....

I got all the wasps and bees on my back porch lol I will agree that I've seen way more wasps and hornets but the bees have been out here in my area
